Schuylkill County Units Called to 3-Alarm Mt. Carmel Fire

Just after noon Monday, Schuylkill County fire units were called to a 3-alarm fire in Mt. Carmel.
As of 12:15pm, Ashland and Girardville fire apparatus have been called to fight the blaze.

The fire is located at 217 South Walnut Street.

UPDATE:  1:15pm, Mahanoy City West End has been called for their RIT.  There are also reports of a Mayday call during this incident.  Helicopter to Landing Zone.

Update:  1:20pm:  6 homes reported involved in the fire; not under control

Update:  1:32pm:  Firewire Northumberland County is reporting that 1 firefighter was hurt in the incident.

Update:  3:00pm:  Fire Chief Injured in Fire; Reported to have been talking before being taken in Life Flight
