District Attorney's Office Investigating Alleged Incident Between Teacher and Student

More details have come available regarding the teacher/student incident at North Schuylkill.


The District Attorney's office and the Butler Township Police Department are conducting the investigation into the alleged incident of a student and teacher at the North Schuylkill School District.

The District Attorney's office has confirmed that the incident involves a 39 year old female 6th grade teacher and a male 7th grade student.  The teacher reportedly resigned on Wednesday.

The investigation is still ongoing but District Attorney Christine Holman has informed Skook News that the student will be interviewed in Harrisburg on May 4th by the Children's Resource Center in Harrisburg.

The school district released information to parents on Wednesday evening regarding the incident to inform parents that counseling was available but no other details were provided.  The district has not released any other information while the investigation continues.

No charges have been filed.
