Pennsylvania Lottery to Launch New Cash4Life Game

On Tuesday, April 7, the Pennsylvania Lottery will begin sales of Cash4Life™, a new $2 terminal-based game offering a top prize of $1,000 a day for life and a second prize of $1,000 a week for life.

The game is currently sold in New Jersey and New York. Drawings are held each Monday and Thursday at 9 p.m.

“Cash4Life players get to dream about what it would feel like to wake up to an extra $1,000 in their pocket, each and every day, for the rest of their lives,” said Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “If a top-prize winner opts to take the cash instead, they will receive a one-time payment of $7 million.”

To play Cash4Life, players choose five numbers from 1-60 and one number from 1-4, the green Cash Ball. Players may choose their own numbers or select Quick Pick.

To win the top prize, players must exactly match all five numbers drawn and the Cash Ball number. The top prize annuity is paid in lifetime installments of $365,000 a year. In cases where more than one top-prize winning ticket is sold for a drawing, the top prizes are split equally among all top prize winners in all participating states.

To win the second prize, players must exactly match all five numbers drawn but not the Cash Ball number. The second prize is an annuity prize of $1,000 a week for life or a one-time payment of $1 million.

Other Cash4Life prize levels are:

• Match four numbers plus the Cash Ball: $2,500
• Match four numbers without the Cash Ball: $500
• Match three numbers plus the Cash Ball: $100
• Match three numbers without the Cash Ball: $25
• Match two numbers plus the Cash Ball: $10
• Match two numbers without the Cash Ball: $4
• Match one number plus the Cash Ball: $2

All prizes may be reduced if total payouts at a particular prize level exceed predetermined liability levels. Additional information on the liability cap is available in the official game rules.

Odds of winning the $1,000 a day for life prize are 1:21.8 million. The odds for winning the $1,000 a week for life prize are 1:7.3 million. Overall odds of winning any prize are 1:8.

Pennsylvania Lottery Cash4Life may be played up to 10 consecutive drawings in advance. Players can find playslips and how-to-play brochures at Lottery retailers. Drawing results and complete play instructions will also be available at palottery.com.

As with any multi-state game, all Cash4Life sales and related profits will remain in the state where the ticket was sold. All prizes must be cashed in the state where the ticket was sold.
