Schuylkill County Units Being Called to Carbon County for Massive Brush Fire

A brush fire in East Penn Township, Carbon County has been burning for hours and crews from Schuylkill County have been called to fight the blaze.


The brush fire began around 2:30pm and has been spreading rapidly in East Penn Township all afternoon.

High winds have been fueling the fire.

Schuylkill County forestry units have been called to aid in fighting the blaze.

Smoke from the fire can be seen from miles around.
