Around 8:30pm, emergency personnel were called to the intersection of Mt. Olive Boulevard and Raven Run Road near William Penn for a water rescue.
According to sources, a man has died in a drowning in a stripping pit.
William Penn Fire, Altamont Fire, West End Mahanoy City, and Shenandoah Heights were all called to the scene.

Update (11:15pm): The Republican Herald is reporting that the victim was Tolik Stutts, 18, of Shenandoah.
