When crews arrived they found heavy fire coming from the second floor.
Firefighters quickly fought the blaze and had the fire under control within minutes and were able to contain the fire to second floor.
The rest of the home was damaged by smoke and water.
Reports are the fire was accidental but a cause is still being investigated.
