PSECU Issues Warning about Possible Texting Scam

The Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU) is alerting it's customers  about a text scam that is using the financial institutions name.

On Monday, customers received a text that appears to be from PSECU, but they are urging their customers that the message is not from them.

PSECU issued the following warning later Monday,

We're aware of a current text and telephone scam using PSECU's name.

If you did not respond to the scam, please delete the message and don't call the number.

If you have shared your information, please call us at 800.237.7328 to speak with a Member Service Representative. We are open 8 am to 9 pm, Monday through Friday, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm.

Text and phone messages that are being delivered ask recipients to call an 844 or 855 area code, PSECU said. In the scam call, recipients are asked to provide personal and financial information.
