Mary Jane Kline, 86, Ft.Springs, PA passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pottsville. PA. Born in Ashland, PA October 16, 1930 the daughter of the late Clarence and Emma Driesbach White. She graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and Polyclinic Nursing in 1951. She worked as a registered nurse at Geisinger Hospital, Danville, PA. She was a member of the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Ashland. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, 1792 and Antique Car Club. She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Kline in 2012; and two brothers: Clarence "Jug" White and William White. She is survived by three sons: Jeff and his wife Kelly Kline, Llewellyn, PA; Matthew and his wife Trina Kline, Myrtle Beach, SC.; and Mark Kline, Mt. Carmel, PA. Five grandchildren: Joshua Drumheller; Daphne Kline; Lucas Kline; Kevin Dougherty; and Kalin Dougherty. Two great grandchildren: Allison Beach and Anastasia Dougherty. A brother and sister also survive: John R. White, Staten Island, NY; and Lorraine Bingaman, West Virginia. Nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA. Interment will be at Christ Church Cemetery, Ft. Springs,PA.

Delphine M Stump, 88 of Oak Grove Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 in the Tremont Health & Rehab Center.

Born on March 24, 1928 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Roy P. and Augusta Strausser Klinger.

She was a member of the Oak Grove Chapel, Pine Grove. She was a 1946 graduate of Pine Grove High School.

Delphine worked as a Seamstress for the former Canoe Mfg.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 55 years, Ray L. Stump on May 16, 2004.

Surviving are three sons; Ray E. and wife Janeen Stump, Ronald Sr. and wife Roberta Stump, Terry and wife Crystal Stump, all of Pine Grove; 6 grandchildren, Nichole, Ronald Jr., Ryan, Jennifer, Rebecca and Mickayla; 7 great grandchildren; a brother Billie and wife Betty Klinger of Pine Grove; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. from the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Ronald Stump, Jr. officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 10:30 A.M. until time of service at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.

Herman H. “Skip” Schultz, 85, of Dieners Hill, East Norwegian Township, passed away on Wednesday at Schuylkill Center.

Born in Gilberton on October 27, 1931, he was a son of the late Harold and Minnie Blackwell Schultz.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, the former Margaret Wall; eight children, Linda Wineland, (spouse, James), Allen Schultz (spouse, Susan), Arthur Schultz (spouse, Joan), Harry Schultz, Margaret Kellman (spouse, Gery), Todd Schultz, Jayne Burkot (companion, Tony), Janet Lipshaw (spouse, George); 22 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.

Services are private.

Joseph D. Lewis Sr., age 83, of Mahanoy City, died Wednesday afternoon at Schuylkill Center in Pottsville. Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital, he was the son of the late John P. and J. Ellen (Stitzer) Lewis. He was a 1951 graduate of Mahanoy City High School and was a Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Coral Sea during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the VFW, American Legion Post 74 where he served as Sergeant of Arms, a life member of the Humane Fire Company, F&AM Lodge 357 all of Mahanoy City, a life member of the Park Crest Fish and Game Club and AFL-CIO Local 727. He had been employed by Kraft Foods in Allentown and last worked for and retired from Sealy in Delano. He was also a school bus driver for the Mahanoy Area and Saint Clair School Districts. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were 2 sisters Peggy Evans and Jan Lewis and one brother Theodore. Survivors include one son Joseph D. Lewis Jr. and his wife Eileen of Mahanoy City, a daughter Becky Lewis-Cleary of St. Clair, a step son Robert King of Mahanoy City, 2 sisters Joan Brady of Mahanoy City and June Yost and her husband Kenneth Yost of Park Crest and a brother Ivor Lewis and his wife Eleanor of Bethlehem. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Saturday morning at 11 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City with the Rev. Fred T. Crawford officiating. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning beginning at 9 AM. Masonic services will be held at 10:45 AM. Edward C. Jones, 85, of Orwigsburg, passed away Tuesday, January 24th, suddenly, at his residence.

Born in Orwigsburg, PA on September 1, 1931, a son of the late Caroline (Kauffman) and Edward W. Jones.

Edward was the long time companion of Patricia Cuff, with whom he resided.

He was a 1949 Graduate of Orwigsburg High School, earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Albright College, Reading & his Masters Degree from University of Minnesota and attended the U.S. Naval Academy.

He retired as a supervisor for the PA State Dept. of Environmental Resources Pottsville. Edward is survived by two daughters, Susan M., wife of Joseph Gwyther, of New Ringgold, Linda A. Fritz & her companion Charles Wychunas, Jr. of Pottsville,

Kenneth N. Hopple, Sr., 89, of Williamstown passed away Thursday, January 26th at the Manor of the Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.

Born in Williamstown, October 13, 1927, a son of the late George and Jessica Ferron Hopple.

He was a 1945 graduate of the former Williamstown High School. He served with the United States Navy during W.W. II.

He retired from AMP, Inc., Williamstown as a tool and die repairman.

Ken was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Williamstown, Williamstown Liberty Hose Co. #1, Dauphin County Fireman's Association; Williamstown American Legion and Short Mountain Gun Club

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, gardening and spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Russell, George, Charles and Joseph Hopple; three sisters, Kathryn Bingaman, Louise Harman and Fern Hopple.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Charlotte Umholtz Hopple; three children, Kenneth Hopple, Jr., Harrisburg; Barbara Mace (David), Hegins; Mary Smeltz (Kenneth), Elizabethtown; 8 grandchildren, Jaimie Grubb, Jessica, Jennifer and Jeffry Welsh, Sarah and Maggie Hopple, Nathan Smeltz and Natalie Kopp; 11 Great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31st at 11:00 am from Immanuel Lutheran Church. Williamstown. Burial with military honors will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. Angela Jayne "Ang" Kasper, 34, of Tower City, passed away suddenly, Thursday night at the Hershey Medical Center with family by her side after a five year courageous fight against leukemia.

Born in Pottsville, March 1, 1982, a daughter of Frank and Carol Daub Kasper, with whom she resided.

Ang was a 2000 graduate of Williams Valley High School. She was the previous owner of the Subway & Curves franchise in Reinerton.

She had attended Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Tower City.

For the past five years, Ang lived by her motto " Peace, Love, Cure".

Ang will be remembered as a free spirit soul, always wishing she could have been around in the 70's. She enjoyed antiques, arts & crafts, music, horseback riding, concerts and traveling to name a few. She was a fan of the TV show The Walking Dead, and had the opportunity to recently meet Norman Reedus. She loved her dog Shaggy. Ang's family and friends were her life, she adored and was so proud of her two nieces.

She was predeceased by her Paternal Grandparents, Frank and Frances Kasper and Maternal Grandfather, Richard Daub.

Surviving are her parents, Frank and Carol Daub Kasper, a sister, Amy Lake and her husband William; a brother Frank Kasper III and his fiancé Natalie Hand, maternal grandmother, Correne Lodish Daub all of Tower City; her two nieces and nephews, Kassy and Kacy Lake; Robert and Ryan Lake. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends.

A Celebration of Ang's life will begin at 1:00 pm, Sunday, January 29th, from her parents home, 2030 Wiconisco Street, Tower City, where family and friends are asked to dress casual and share memories.
