David C. Price, 71 years of age of Valley Road, New England Valley, Tamaqua, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017, at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Weatherly.

A Tamaqua High School graduate, David had served honorably in the United States Army. He was the owner of Rush Printing of New England Valley for many years.

A member of the New England Valley Fire Company, Tamaqua Mason's and Schuylkill Shrine.

Born Saturday, July 14, 1945 in Coaldale, the son of the late Clifford, and Alethea (Brydingham) Price.

David is survived by his companion of many years, Theresa J. (Sully) Myers and her children.

Bessie C. Lorah, age 92, of E. Broad St., Tamaqua, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr., Hometown.

Born in Lansford on November 13, 1924, she was the daughter of the late James Lorah and the late Bessie M. (Leidinger) Lorah. She was predeceased by; sisters, Mrs. Sarah Erbe, Mrs. Clara Hoppes, Mrs. Mae Schappell, Mrs. Jean Sterling; brothers, George, Edwin, Earl, and Fred Lorah.

She was a 1942 Lansford High School graduate and she had worked in the garment industry.

Bessie was Protestant by faith.

She is survived by nieces, and nephews.

Private Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.

Interment will be at Grand Army Cemetery, Summit Hill, PA.

Philip L Harris, age 54, of James St., McAdoo, died Sunday, January 22, 2017, at his home.

He is survived by his companion of many years, Tammy (Spohr) Handley.

Philip was Protestant by faith.

He was an Elvis Presley enthusiast. He also enjoyed car models and camping.

Philip had worked for Eagle Buckram Co., Hazleton.

Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Nicholas J. Harris and the late Violet (Morgan) Harris.

He is also survived by his brother, Nicholas Harris of Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Brenda Krynock wife of John of Summit Hill; Gloria Neikum wife of Dave of Hazleton; Betty Thomas wife of Chris of Lansford; Dolly Hoy of Pottsville; Verna Dunbar wife of Dennis of Lehighton; Faith Ann Shafer of Hazleton; nieces and nephews and especially his great-nephew, Connor, who shared his enthusiasm for Elvis.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 26, 2017.

Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 26, 2017, Pastor Marjorie Keiter to officiate.

Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
