On Friday evening, members of the North Schuylkill Board of Education, Administration, members of the swim team, and residents of the community honored long-time North Schuylkill Athletic Director / Natatorium Director, Donald Bricker, by naming the natatorium in his behalf.
Bricker served as the Natatorium Director at North Schuylkill from 1974 until 1993, when he retired.
Bricker was also the Athletic Director for a total of 38 years, and the Health and Physical Education Department Chairperson.
Bricker still remains active with the Schuylkill League Athletic Director’s Association.
Most recently, the Schuylkill League AD Association named an award in his honor.
Beginning in 2010, the “Donald Bricker Award” is now given out annually to the Athletic Director of the Year in the Schuylkill League.
