Leo G. Hardnock Jr., 90, of Ashland, PA passed away Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mt. Carmel, PA.

Born in Ashland, PA July 28, 1926 the son of the late Leo G. and Mildred C. (Ney) Hardnock. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Ashland, A United States Army World War II Veteran. He worked for the US Dept of Justice-Bureau of Prisons at the US Penitentiary, Lewisburg, PA until retirement. After retirement at the prison he was a courier for the post office and Community Bank in Ashland. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Knights of Columbus, and the Elks.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, T. Louise (Brecker) Hardnock, Ashland, PA.
Surviving are a brother, Ronald Hardnock, and his wife Karen, Baltimore, MD; sister Joan Ryan, Harrisburg; sister-in-law, Catherine Hardnock, Mt. Carmel, PA and aunt Jean Marie Ney, Shenandoah. Many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 12 noon at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Ashland with Rev. Paul Rothermel officiating. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Visitation Wednesday 10:00 AM until time of service in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Ashland. Memorial contributions can be made to Washington Fire Community Ambulance Association, 1309 Center St, Ashland, PA or the Ashland Public Library, 1229 Center St, Ashland, PA 17921.
