Charles W. Scheaffer, age 79, of Middleport found his way to heaven on Monday morning, May 8th, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving wife Rose Ann (Reed) of 56 years and his two Bassett Hounds: Harry and Kayla. Born in Pottsville, PA on July 3, 1937,he was the son of the late Charles I. and Edna (Sheipe) Scheaffer. Charlie was a graduate of Soldier's Memorial High School in Port Carbon, Class of 1954.He served in the US Army in Korea during peacetime from 1960 till 1962. Charlie worked as an Electrical Inspector for the Middle Department Inspection Agency in West Chester, PA for 43 years.He took electrical classes in Allentown to keep up with all of the electrical codes and had a lot of friends and acquaintances in the electrical business. Charlie was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Port Carbon and he liked camping, fishing, crabbing, and also enjoyed going on cruises. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Herman and Marlin Scheaffer and sisters: Dorothy Glasser and Izola Miller. In addition to his wife Rose Ann, Charlie is survived by a sister Charlotte Brennan and her husband Harry, Pottsville; a sister-in-law Pattylee Reed, Delaware; two nephews: Joseph Solt, Lancaster and Matthew Solt and his wife Lisa and their children: CJ, Alexis, and Brittany, all of Delaware; a niece Karen Kristoff and her husband Lenny and their children: Tyler, Angel, Christopher, and Jordan, all of Pottsville; and other nieces and nephews. A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon at 10:30AM on Friday, May 12th, with Regnal Leibensperger, SALM officiating. Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday evening from 6-8PM and Friday morning from 9:30-10:30AM at the Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honorsby the St. Clair Honor Guard will be held at the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Middleport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillside SPCA P.O. Ronald J. "Buzz" Bensinger, 66, of Wayne Township, passed away Monday, May 8th, at home, surrounded by his family.

Born in Pottsville on January 13, 1951, he was a son of the late Irvin & Martha (Amour) Bensinger.

He was the husband of Sandra L. (Walasavage) Bensinger.

Buzz was a Blue Mountain High School graduate and had been employed as a union boilermaker.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Friedensburg, and the Cressona Lodge No. 222 Free & Accepted Masons.

In addition to his parents, Buzz is also preceded in death by his brothers: Charles & Irvin Bensinger.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two daughters: Kim, wife of Steve Cryts, Schuylkill Haven, and Karen, wife of Jason Conage, Schuylkill Haven, and a son, Kevin, husband of Tami Bensinger, Schuylkill Haven, grandchildren: Jake, Colton, Keenan, Brody, Abigail, Ethan, & Tyler, a brother, Walter "Ben" Bensinger, New Ringgold, and two sisters: Nancy Watkins, Hazleton, and Faye Ketner, Schuylkill Haven.

Buzz was an avid hunter who passed on this love to his son and grandson. Second only to the love for his wife, was his love for his grandchildren and sports. For anyone who attended any sporting events involving his grandchildren, you could hear his love and support above all others.

Service and interment will be privately held at the family's convenience.
