MaryLouise Thorick, 80, Frackville, died peacefully Friday evening at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.

Born in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Veronica Wargo Kravetz. She was of the Catholic Byzantine faith.

She treasured her heritage, especially at holidays when she sang in Slovak and enjoyed polkas and oldies music. She enjoyed puzzles, playing games, cards and loved watching movies.

She was preceded in death by her husband Peter Thorick in 1999, her son-in-law Dennis Coleman in 2015 and by two brothers and 3 sisters.

MaryLouise was the last member of her immediate family and is survived by her two daughters Theresa Howerter, Mahanoy City and her companion Michael Fetco and Veronica Thorick Coleman, Mahanoy City; sister-in-law Irene Bracey, Frackville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Miriam A. Heim, 86, formerly of Pitman passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.

Miriam was born in Allentown, PA on December 2, 1930, a daughter of the late Anna (Hillegas) and James M. Jones, Sr.

She was a member of Zion E.C. Church Pitman, PA and served as chairman of the Missions Committee until moving from Pitman due to health concerns in 2015.

She worked along side her husband on the family farm and also worked at the Pitman Post Office for many years.

Through the years Miriam developed a passion in several areas that made her the person we loved. First was her love for the Lord and His work. This was her primary passion and influenced all areas of her life. Second was her passion for Lamar and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always took time for family. Finally, was her love of the Mahantongo Valley. She loved the rural atmosphere and it's fitting to be buried in her beloved valley till she is resurrected with the trumpet call of the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Lamar Heim who passed away in 2008.

Miriam is survived by a daughter, Suzanne L., wife of John Cimbala, of Pennsylvnia Furnace; two sons Scott A., husband of Jan Heim, of Easton; Gary J., husband of Marilyn Heim, of Harrisburg; 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, an infant Eugene Jones and James M. Jones, and one sister, Dorene M. Heffner.

Viewing will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 9:30-11:00 AM at Zion E.C. Church, Pitman, Pa, with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM with Pastor Todd Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in Zion EC Cemetery.
