Helene J. Kellner, 96, of Tamaqua, PA died on Saturday, July 15, in Coaldale, PA. She was the wife of the late Russell L. Kellner to whom she was married 69 years at the time of his death in 2013. Born in Tamaqua on February 9, 1921, Helene was the daughter of the late Frank and Lena (nee Maeder) Short. A 1938 graduate of Tamaqua High School, she had worked for Woolworths, Sheids Department Store, and lastly Tami Sportswear. Helene was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua where she was active in the Adult Class including the rummage sales that the class held over the years. She is survived by daughters, Virginia Wetzel and her husband Richard of Orefield, PA and Christine Whiting and her husband Charles of Harrisburg, PA; grandchildren, Russell Bass, Richard Wetzel, Robert Wetzel, Brent Whiting, and Rebecca Lowry; and great grandchildren, Justin, Amber, Colin, Sarah, David, Ella, Griffin, Violet, and Elizabeth. Her brothers, Frank Short and John Short, also predeceased her. Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 21 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with The Rev. Phyllis Wolford officiating. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Tamaqua will follow the services. Call 7-9 PM on Thursday, July 20 and 10-11 AM on Friday, July 21 at the funeral home. Robert A. "Speck" Nunemacher, 76, of Jonestown, formerly of Tower City, passed away Friday surrounded by loved ones at his home.

Born in Tower City, December 21, 1940, a son of the late Russel and Ruby Alvord Nunemacher. He was a graduate of Porter Tower High School in 1958. Robert was a 30 year employee of the H.B. Reese Candy Company.

He will forever be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, knack for mischief, and his never-ending devotedness to his family.

He was predecesaed by a brother, Lee Nunemacher.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Connie Bender Nunemacher; two daughters, Gloria Borges and Loriann Collins (David); a son, David Nunemacher all of Jonestown; a sister, Karen Shutt, Tower City; four grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, Haley and Dalton; three great grandchildren, Caleb, Oliva and Kennedy. Nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 19th at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc. Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel. Private burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Orwin. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to American Cancer Society, 101 W. Frack Street, Frackville, PA 17921.
