Andrew John "Ox" Oxenrider, 28, of Pitman, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from injuries sustained in an accident at work.

Andrew was born on June 2, 1989 and raised in Ashland, a son of Elizabeth (Melocheck) and John Oxenrider.

He graduated from Tri-Valley High School in 2008 and was employed as a heavy equipment operator at West Spring Energy.

He was a member of Zion E.C. Church., Pitman.

He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, camping and spending time with family. He also coached football wrestling and baseball.

He is survived by his wife Molly (Krout) Oxenrider; the couple married Sept. 19, 2015.

Andrew is survived by a daughter, Ever Oxenrider two step sons Parker and Jayce Hatter; one sister, Kayla Oxenrider and sister-in-law Makanzie, wife of Johnny Warford; paternal grandfather James D. Oxenrider; maternal grandmother Babe Melocheck; and two nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2014 from 1-4 PM at the Mahantongo Fire Hall, Main Road, Pitman. There will be a Celebration of Ox's Life will follow at 4:00 PM with Pastor Todd Wolfe officiating.

In honor of Andrew his family requests those attending to wear camo or casual attire.

Interment will be private at Zion E.C. Cemetery Pitman.

Arlene V. Krebs, age 92, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Thursday, July 27th, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Health Network, Schuylkill East in Pottsville. Born in Port Carbon, PA on December 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Ruth (Salen) Krebs. Arlene was a graduate of Soldier's Memorial High School in Port Carbon, Class of 1942. She worked in the cutting department for H.L. Miller and Sons in Port Carbon. Arlene was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Schuylkill Haven and a member of the Port Carbon and Saint Clair Senior Citizens. She enjoyed doing puzzle books and love to read. Arlene is survived by her sister Ruth Ann Miller and her husband Lee, Port Carbon and her niece Tammy Seibert and her husband Kevin, Pine Grove. A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St. Port Carbon at 11AM on Monday, July 31st, with Rev. David Rowe officiating. Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Monday morning from 10-11AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery in Schuylkill Haven. Stephen H. Koshulsky, 63, of N. Crescent St., Tremont, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

Born on July 5, 1954 in Pottsville, PA, he was a son of the late Harry and Patricia M. Aungst Koshulsky.

Stephen was a graduate of Pine Grove High School and later received a degree in Drafting from the Schuylkill Technology Center. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Tremont. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Stephen worked as a Mechanical Draftsman for Techniserv in Berwick, Pa..

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Patricia Hoy Koshulsky; a son Brian and wife Michelle Koshulsky of Holbrook, MA; a daughter Amanda and husband Raymond Desrosiers of Myerstown; 7 grandchildren; Jacob, Jared, Jadon and Colleen Koshulsky; Liam, Logan and Lance Desrosiers; a Brother, John Koshulsky of Branchdale; three sisters, Kitty Darosh of Pottsville, Linda Overdier of Lebanon and Susan Leffler of Donaldson.

All services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Lloyd N. Schmerfeld, age 85, of Mahanoy City, died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital and Health Network Coaldale Campus. Born in Quakake he was the son of the late Frederick and Edna (Haas) Schmerfeld Sr. He was a graduate of Delano High School and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was an automotive collision specialist having last worked for the former Steckert Pontiac dealership in Hazleton. He was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tamaqua. An avid hunter and fisherman he was a member of the former Flinchers Gun Club, the Rush Township Sportsman's Club and the Brothers of the Bore. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife the former Monica Baddick in 2004, two sisters Lorraine Lombardo and Mae Deeble as well as three brothers Cal, Frederick "Fritz" Jr. and Wayne. Survivors include 2 sons Paul and his wife Amy of Barnesville, John and his wife Cynthia Hall Schmerfeld of Virginia and a daughter Debra Andescavage and her husband Jim of Locust Valley, his companion Jane Springer of Hometown, 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Monday morning at 11 AM from the David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City. Interment will follow at Sky View Memorial Park in Hometown.
