Rosemary J. Gibas, 78 years of age of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017, at home.

Born Sunday, February 26, 1939 the daughter of the late Frank J. Gibas, and Julia R. (Mizzer) Gibas-Norcross. She was also predeceased by brothers, Frank and Edward Gibas. Rosemary is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews as well as numerous friends.

A Tamaqua High School graduate, Rosemary worked at her family's bar Gibas's on Lafayette street until it's closing in the mid 1970's. She then became the church secretary at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. in Tamaqua assisting Father William Linkchorst until his retirement. Rosemay, was a devoted member of the church and the church's Ladies Auxiliary, the Rosary Society, and The Knights of Lithuania Chapter #144. She was also a longtime member of the South Ward Fire Company Ladies Aux.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 27, 2017 at 11 o'clock A.M. from SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. located at 307 Pine St Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

Friends shall be received on the morning of services at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M.

Interment will take place at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Cemetery Owl Creek.

Charles H. Wolfgang, 76, of Mowry, PA passed away Wednesday September 20, 2017 at his home. Born in Ashland, PA June 7, 1941 the son of the late Lawrence and Alice (Willis) Wolfgang. He was a United States Army Veteran, a member of the United Mine Workers, operating Engineers, and the Lavelle Fire Company. He worked as a heavy equipment operator his entire career. Charlie loved his home and always took pride in his yard. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Lawrence Wolfang and Betty Ritzko.
Surviving are his wife: Donna (Herring) Wolfgang. Two sons: Dustin Wolfgang companion of Kelly of Ashland, PA and Charles Wolfgang of Frackville, PA. Two daughters: Jessica wife of Robert Nagle Jr. and Kimberly Maurer both of Ashland, Three brothers: Lewis Wolfgang and Jack Wolfgang both of Ashland, PA; and Harry Wolfgang of King of Prussia, PA. Four sisters: Alice Mills of Girardville, PA; Joanne Brabazon and Agnes Jones both of Lancaster, PA; and Mary Krick of Barnsville, PA. Eleven grandchildren: Amber, Kaity, Dakota, Maddie, Abbey, Logan, Cooper, Bryson, Rylee. Five great grandchildren: Emmy, Kenny, Hailey, Kaitlyn, Jamie & Nicole.
Funeral Services will be held Monday September 25, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA with Rev. Mark Galbraith officiating. Interment in Citizen Cemetery, Lavelle, PA. Viewing will be held 9:30 - 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home.

Susan J. Foster, 65, of Beacon, NY and formerly of Tamaqua, PA, died on Friday, September 22, 2017 in Bethlehem, PA. 

Born in Palmerton, PA on July 26, 1952, she was the daughter of Harold Foster of Tamaqua and the late Olive (nee Schmauch) Foster. A 1970 graduate of Tamaqua High School, Susan earned a Bachelor Degree in Library Science from Shippensburg University in 1974 and a Master Degree in Information Science from Drexel University. She was employed as a law librarian. Susan was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua. 

In addition to her father Harold, she is survived by her brother Bruce J. Foster and his wife, Patricia of Orwigsburg, PA; niece, Tracy Henninger and her husband, Jason of Bethlehem, PA; and nephew, Kyle Foster and his wife, Jaclyn of Orwigsburg. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 27 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with The Rev. Phyllis Wolford officiating. Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown, PA will follow the services. Call 10-11 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials in Susan’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 West Frack Street, Frackville, PA 17931.

John I. Paul, 85, of Camp Hill, passed away Friday at VibraLife Health Care, Mechanicsburg.

Born in Orwin, December 19, 1931, a son John and Helen Paul.

John was a 1949 graduate of the former Porter Township High School and the Philadelphia Wireless Technical Institute.

He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration, working at the Capital City Airport and Harrisburg International Airport.

John was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Shiremanstown; Carlisle Fish & Game, Dauphin County Anglers Association and the Yellow Breeches Sportsman's Club.

John was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and boating.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Millie Ulsh, Gladys Koppenhaver and Mae Minnich.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Peggy L. Paul, three children, Susan Himes (Mike), Gardners; Sharon Niksic (Mark), Colorado and Thomas Paul (Donna), Lewisberry. Four grandchildren, Zach and Josh Paul; Shane and Kayla Niksic. Nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 27th at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc. Tower City with Rev. Michael Seifried. Burial with military honors will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin. Viewing will be from 10-11 at the chapel. Memorial donations in John's name should be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church, 44 W.
