Joan Ann Wheaton, 65 years of age of Hometown Ave., Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 29, 2017 at St. Luke's University Hospital Fountain Hill.

Committed to her family, Joan is survived by her devoted husband of twenty-eight years, Daniel J. Wheaton; beloved children, daughter, Jennifer L. wife of Joe Spano of Indiana; son, Jeremy D. Wheaton of Indiana; sister, Donna wife of Steve Wilson of New York; grandchildren, Lyndsay, Emily, Kadin, Kylee; great grandchildren, Lucas, Lawson, Liberty; sister-in-laws, Linda Wheaton, Bobbie McGeehan wife of Brian, Pam Werner wife of Mark, and Sherri Jones. Many nieces, and nephews also survive Joan.

A 1969 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Joan attended college and during a summer break worked at Air Products & Chemicals in Hometown. What was to be summer employment transitioned into a thirty-three year career, retiring in 2007 as a Inventory Control Specialist. Joan then began the job she most coveted, that of wife, mother, and grandmother.

Born in Coaldale, the daughter of Marie (Schietrumpf) Lehotta of Weatherly, and the late Edgar Lehotta. Joan was predeceased by an infant son, Daniel J. Wheaton, Jr.

Funeral arrangement's have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

A Remembrance Service will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at 11 o'clock A.M. Friends shall be received at the funeral home from on Tuesday evening October 3, 2017 from 6 to 8:00 P.M., and on the morning of services from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.

Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Peter "Peachy" Kadingo Sr., 93, of Troutdale, VA formerly of St. Clair, died Friday Sept. 29, 2017 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA.

Born in Pottsville, May 21, 1924, He was a son of the late John and Mary (Merena) Kadingo.

He served in the US Army during WWII.

Peter was a retired carpenter working many years at Indiantown Gap, Annville.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, St. Clair.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Anna (Sorokach) Kadingo and 9 siblings.

Surviving are 2 sons Charles Kadingo and his wife Louise of Orwigsburg; Peter Kadingo of St. Clair; 2 daughters Linda Kadingo of Green Bay, WI; Suzanne Kadingo of Troutdale, VA; sister Sandra New of Hubert, NC; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair. The Rev. Monsignor Myron Grabowski will be officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday and 9:00 AM – 10;00AM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Memorial Fund , 105 N. Morris St. , St. Clair, PA 17970. Burial with military honors will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, East Norwegian Twp.
