Joseph Rimm, 77, of Hazle Street, Tamaqua, PA died on Monday, October 9, 2017 at home. 

He was the husband of Marlene (nee Caputo) Rimm to whom he was married 55 years in May. 

Born in Coaldale, PA on August 9, 1940, Joseph was a son of the late Michael and Rose (nee Costello) Rimm. 

Before retiring, he was employed by Ametek, Nesquehoning, PA and prior to that he worked for Quartite Lamps, Nesquehoning. Joseph was a member of The Parish of St. John XXIII, Tamaqua. He was an avid animal lover, especially his cats, Kaycee and Callie. 

Joseph is survived by his wife, Marlene; son, Joseph Michael Rimm of Jim Thorpe, PA; daughters, Diane Koval of Hazleton, PA and Kathy Rimm of Palmyra, PA; daughter-in-law, Gail Wehr of Jim Thorpe; grandsons, Nickolas Wehr and Gage Koval; brothers, John Rimm and his wife, Patricia of Stroudsburg, PA and Robert Costello and his wife, Eleanore of Lancaster, PA; and numerous nephews and nieces. 

Predeceasing him were a sister, Rita Rimm Wister and a son-in-law, Joseph Koval. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 307 Pine Street, Tamaqua. 

Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown, PA will follow the mass. Call 6-8 PM on Friday, October 13 and 10-11 AM on Saturday, October 14 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. Memorials in Joseph’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, ACS Frackville Regional Hub, 101 West Frack Street, Frackville, PA 17931 or the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, P.O. Box 332, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Robert Dennis Earhart, 63, of Auburn, passed away Sunday, October 8th, at his residence.

Robert was born in Pottsville, PA on September 17, 1954, a son of the late Georgine Elizabeth (Reed) and Lester David Earhart.

Robert worked as an Auto Mechanic.

He is survived by Mary Ann Earhart Mother of his daughter, Gina Marie Kelly, of Orwigsburg, His life companion, with whom he resided, Faith Noecker. Grandchildren Kaylee, Shawn & Trysta Kelly. Robert is also survived by his sister, Janet, wife of Dominic Just.Two brothers, George E., husband of Gloria Earhart and Lester D. Earhart, widower of Tara. He is also survived by Nieces & Nephews.

A Celebration of Robert’s Life Service will be held at 9 PM on Monday, October 16th at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg. Call from 7:00 PM until 9:00.

Irene P. Mellon, 94, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, October 9th, at Anderson Medical Center.

Irene was born in Minersville, PA on August 8, 1923, a daughter of the late Minnie A. (Stutzman) and James W. Bainbridge.

She was the widow of Paul W. Mellon.

Irene was a member of Lighthouse Church Orwigsburg and Concord Community Church, Anderson, South Carolina.

She worked in the cutting room at former Sylray Textile factory in Orwigsburg.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Paula L. Holzer, wife of Carl, of Anderson, SC; sister, Elaine Miller, of Schuylkill Haven, PA.

Brother Allen, husband of Joan Bainbridge, of Drehersville, PA;

Grandchildren Derek Holzer, husband of Kelly and Carla Marchione, wife of Joseph. 4 great-grandchildren Kylie and Zander Holzer, and Adalyn and Bowen Marchione and Irene was predeceased by 4 Sisters, Annabelle Sowers, Dorothy Stotland, Billene Breiner and Jean Stauffer, Irene's twin. Internment services will be held at Schuylkill Memorial Park at 1:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Irene’s Life Service at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 16th at Lighthouse Church, 10 Hollenbush Lane, Orwigsburg, with Pastor William M. Orf officiating. Please honor Irene's request and send contributions, in lieu of flowers, in her name to Lighthouse Church/Orphan Helpers, 10 Hollenbush Lane, Orwigsburg, PA 17961.
