Around noon Friday, The Schuylkill Haven Dive Team was called to Walker Township for a deer that was in distress in the middle of a frozen pond.
Rescue personnel crossed the ice, checked on the animal's conditions as well as the strength of the ice and were eventually able to push the deer to the shoreline to safety.
The deer walked away unharmed.
