12 Residents Affected by Sunday Morning Apartment Building Fire in Pottsville

A dozen residents were affected by an apartment building fire in Pottsville Sunday morning.


Around 9:30am, emergency personnel were called to 319 West Market Street, Pottsville for smoke coming from an apartment building.

Police were first to arrive on scene and pronounced the fire as working after finding heavy smoke coming from the rear of the apartment building.

Pottsville Fire responded along with Schuylkill Haven for the Rapid Intervention Team.

The twelve residents who lived in the apartment building are being helped by the American Red Cross.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
