Brenda Louise Schaeffer, age 69, of Valley View, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Premier at Susquehanna Nursing Center, Millersburg.

She was born on Monday, November 8, 1948, in Ashland, a daughter of Royle F Miller and the late Gloria L Huntzinger Miller.

She was a 1966 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.

Brenda provided thirty years of in home child care for area children. She loved camping and spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were a sister Tonya Miller.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth W Schaeffer, to whom she was married for 51 years.

She is also survived by a son, Troy R Schaeffer and his wife Vickie of Pillow; a daughter, Tammie G Nelson of Pottstown; two granddaughters, Kerilyn Kramer of Valley View and Samantha Nelson of Pottstown; a grandson, Shane Nelson of Pottstown; two brothers, Thomas Miller of Valley View and Kenneth Miller of Halifax; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Brian Beissel officiating.

There will be no visitation prior to the service.

Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.

Robin T. Spicher, 62, of Hegins, passed away Thursday at the Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Ashland, November 24, 1955, a son of Bernice Miller Griffiths, Mount Carmel and the late Bobby Spicher.

Robin was a 1973 graduate of Tri Valley High School. He was a retired highway foreman from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

He was an active member of the Valley View Church of God, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, served on stewardship and property committees, church council and a elder. He was a member of the Hegins Fire Company.

Robin was a former board member of the Valley View Park Association; a former Little League and Teener baseball coach for Tri-Valley and a former Valley View Cub scout leader.

Robin's life revolved around his family, his wife, sons and grandchildren meant the world to him. He enjoyed hunting and spending time on his farm.

Surviving in addition to his mother; are his wife of 42 years, Charlotte Updegrave Spicher; three sons, Terry Spicher, Hegins; Matthew Spicher and his wife Charlene, Hegins and Mackenzie Spicher and his wife Daniele, Ashland; his four grandchildren he adored, Riley and Logan Harman; Addyson and Maggie Spicher; two sisters, Tammy Zerbe and her husband Craig, Valley View and Tina Langel, Newport. Half brother, Scott Griffiths, Wrightsville. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 12th at 11 am from the Valley View Church of God, Valley View with Pastor Gerald Frey. Viewing will be from 9-11 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robin's name should be made to the Valley View Church of God, 900 West Main Street, Valley View, PA 17983.
