Margaret E Hubler, 97 of Gordon,PA passed away January 24th, 2018 at Leigh Valley Hospital, Norwegian St. Pottsville,PA. Born in Gordon June 211920 the daughter of the late Nathan and Emma (Helwig) Gable. She was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon, PA and attended Mahanoy Area Schools. Preceding her in death were a sisters Belva, Elsie & Edith. Brothers Leonard and Whitfield Gable preceded her in death .

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray E. Hubler in 2000.
Surviving are a son Eugene Hubler, Gordon and sister Mary McCarthy, Shenandoah, PA. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 27,2018 at 10:00 AM in Christ Church Cemetery, Ft. Springs, PA. Chaplain Susie Hocking will officiate. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland is in charge of arrangements.

Helen P "Mom" Kern Knisely, age 96, of Spring Glen, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at her residence.

She was born on Friday, March 18, 1921, in Mathias, WV, a daughter of the late George Fadeley and the late Dehlia Halterman Fadeley.

She was a seamstress in Elizabethtown area garment factories, prior to her retirement. She and her late husband were also the owner and operator of the former Mom's Place of Fearnot.

Helen was a member of Tri-Valley Bible Church, Valley View.

She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Winchester VA Moose Lodge, VFW Post 8237 Valley View, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Steelton VFW.

Her husband Robert W Knisely passed away in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by two brothers Albert L. Fadeley and Jackson F. Link; a sister, Ava C. Cheshire; and a step daughter, Connie Vance.

She is survived by three sons Nevin H.W. Kern and his wife Malinda of Marysville, John A.J. Kern and his wife Mary of Shermansdale, and Roger C.L. Kern of Liverpool; three daughters, Naomi "Dollie" R. Roush and her husband Doug of Pine Grove, Barbara K. Dupler of Elizabethtown, and Cheryl O. Oberdorff and her companion Danny Quick of Ashland; a step daughter, Donna Forguson and her husband Mark of Rutherford; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-on great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Tri-Valley Bible Church, Valley View, on Monday, February 26, 2018, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Michael Aiken and Rev. Dennis O'Brien officiating.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the church.

Burial will private in Longsdorf Cemetery, New Kingstown.

Betty Ann Rhodes, 79 years of age, of Lansford, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr., Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. 

Surviving; daughter, Deborah Lee Mandas wife of George of Mundelein, IL, brother, Jim Rhodes of Dayton, OR, sisters, Marion Hill of Tamaqua, and Janet Hutton of Dayton, OR; 2 grand children. 

Betty Ann had worked in the Hotel Industry, and enjoyed knitting.

Born Thursday, August 18, 1938 in Albany, New York the daughter of the late Burten, and Anna (Litwin) Rhodes. She was also predeceased by; brothers, Dan and Walter Rhodes.

Frances M. Smith, 78, of Auburn, passed away Thursday, February 22nd, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born in Auburn on July 22, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Adam & Marie (Sterner) Renninger.

She was the widow of Harvey W. Smith, Sr., who passed away April 11, 2011.

Frances was formerly employed by Wrights Knitting Mill as a machine operator.

She was a member of the Auburn Game & Fish.

In addition to her husband, Frances is also preceded in death by son, Harvey W. Smith, Jr., son, Richard Smith, grandson, Russell Smith, brothers: Ed, Kenny, & Hubert, and sisters: Patricia Bachman, Anna May Donetti, Regina Schwenk & Phyllis Schwenk.

She is survived by a son, Ronald Smith & wife, Lisa, Auburn, daughter-in-law, Misty, widow of Harvey Smith, Jr., Florida, daughter-in-law Donna, widow of Richard Smith, Cumbola, eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a brother, Richard "Dick" Renninger, Auburn.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be conducted at St. John's New Cemetery, Auburn, on Saturday, March 3rd at 10 a.m.
