6 to 8 Inches of Snow Possible for Schuylkill County

At noon on Tuesday, the National Weather Service updated their forecasted storm totals for the snowfall Tuesday through Wednesday evening.

According to the update from the NWS, Schuylkill County could see anywhere from 6 to 8 inches, with the higher amounts in the southern end of the county.

The storm is actually two storms with the first expected to begin with snow showers Tuesday afternoon and into the evening.

The first storm will quit later Tuesday evening, take a break, then the second storm with heavier snow will start just before daybreak, then continue throughout the day ending Wednesday evening.

Snow could fall at an inch an hour anytime during these storms.

A Winter Storm Warning still remains in effect until Wednesday at 8:00pm.
