Caitlin E. McGarry, 23, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away on Saturday, March 17th, at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Pottsville on May 25, 1994, she was the daughter of Robert E. & Crystal A. DeWald McGarry.

She was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 2012, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State University.

Caitlin was employed as a civil engineer for PENN DOT District 5, Allentown.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pottsville.

Caitlin was always involved throughout her time in high school as her class treasurer, a member of the National Honor Society, and was the recipient of the Girl Scout Silver Award.

Beyond this, she was Schuylkill Haven's Female Scholar Athlete in 2012, and was a member of the cross country, track & field, swim and dive, and soccer teams.

Caitlin dedicated so much of her time to Penn State's THON, and served as a chair, dancer, and committee member over her four years at Penn State. She was also a well-loved and dedicated member of Penn State Club Swim, where she met many of her best friends and lifelong soulmates. She was also a member of the Society of Women Engineers.

"Coach Caitlin" treasured her many years as a swimmer, and committed herself to coaching young swimmers as a youth swim coach for Schuylkill Haven.

In addition to her parents, Caitlin is also survived by a brother, Kyle McGarry, maternal grandparents: Sam & Colleen DeWald, aunts & uncles: Deb DeWald Kaplan & husband, Bruce, Tricia Sanchez & husband, Mike, Kathy Gustas & husband, Jim, Jack McGarry & wife, Carole, Gene McGarry, and Ann Pat Conway & husband, John, and cousins: Mel Kaplan, Scott, Marc, & Brad Gustas, Evan, Connor, & Shane McGarry, Kelsey, Matt, Jake, & Avery McGarry, and Madison & Lexi Sanchez.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Thomas & Patricia McGarry.

Caitlin always lived her life for others, and valued the incredible friendships she has made at home and at Penn State more than anything.

For all of those who knew Caitlin, and even those who did not, a visitation will be heldFridayfrom6-8 p.m.at First United Methodist Church, Pottsville.
An additional visitation time will be heldSaturdayfrom10 a.m.until the time of service at the church.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at First United Methodist Church, Pottsville, at12 noononSaturday, March 24thwith Rev. John Wallace officiating.

Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience.

Angel Runningbear Olmo entered the heavens Saturday, March 17th at Lehigh Valley Hospital- South.

She was the daughter of Pedro Olmo and Deandra Lea Rodriguez, Pottsville.

Angel is survived by a brother Anthony Cheeseman and a sister Hope Rodriguez, Pottsville; maternal grandparents Sharon Runningbear and Roberto Rodriguez, Pottsville; paternal grandparents Maria Olmo and Pedro Gonzalez, Puerto Rico; maternal great grandparents Sue and John Hess, Pine Grove; and her aunt Dee Eastridge and Uncle Jason Troutman, Sr., Pine Grove.

Judy Lynn (Piccioni) Schartel, 54, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at her residence.

She was born in Pottsville, February 13, 1964 to Dorothy (Oplansky) Piccioni and the late John Piccioni. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church, Orwigsburg.

In addition to her mother, Dorothy Piccioni, surviving is her son, Dylan Schartel; two brothers, Joe and John Piccioni; a sister, Jane Droskinis; nieces and nephews, Heather and Scott Droskinis, Jamie Garcia, Lauren, Matthew, and Sara Piccioni.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville with Pastor William Orff officiating. Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00am until the time of the service. Interment will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Stella B. Ashfield, age 80, of Mahanoy City, died Sunday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital she was the daughter of the late Wincenty and Jadwiga Sielicki. She was a 1955 graduate of JW Cooper High School in Shenandoah and had been employed by Mrs. T's also of Shenandoah. She was a member of St. Paul's UCC in Mahanoy City and the ladies auxiliary of American Legion Post 74. She was a faithful blood donor for the American Red Cross. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband Edward in 2004 and a sister Dorothy Wawro. Survivors include a daughter Lori Ashfield and a son Eric Ashfield, a sister Regina Kurtz, several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call and visit with the family on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM at David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City. Interment will be private.
