Lillian D. Frie, age 85, of Pottsville, PA passed away Monday, April 9th, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill, East, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, PA on February 25, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Dorothy (Boyer) Losch.

Lillian was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Pottsville. She loved animals, having a house full of family and friends, and her Sunday Spaghetti dinner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Albert E. Frie on June 30, 2000, a daughter Janet Becker, three sons: Daniel, Jesse, and Christopher Frie, a grandson Matthew Paul Martin, and three brothers: Daniel, Robert, and Walter Losch

Lillian is survived by her children: Dorothy Deegan and her husband Larry, Pine Grove; Florence Joulwan and her late husband Joseph, Florida; Albert Frie and his wife Michelle, Port Carbon; Victoria Bobinas and her husband Charles, Minersville; Jacqueline Frie-Monzon and her husband Eliseo, Fleetwood; Paulette Sassaman and her husband John, Port Carbon; Kenneth Frie, Pottsville; Catherine Denotsko and her husband Steve, Lewistown; and Thelma Martin and her husband Paul, Frackville; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a sister Shirley Recla and her husband Guy, Pottsville; and nieces and nephews.

A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St. Port Carbon at 10:30AM on Saturday, April 14th, with Msgr. William Glosser officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning from 9-10:30AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held in the Queen of the Universe Cemetery Pottsville, PA.

Jerome J. Tracy, of Lincoln Ave, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Luke's Medical Center Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at the age of 86. 

Survived by his beloved wife of forty-eight years, Patricia (Krasowski ) Tracy; brothers, Charles Tracy, John Tracy and his wife Patricia both of Tamaqua; sisters, Teresa M. Zawatwicz of Philadelphia, Sylvia Arner of Tamaqua; many nieces, and nephews. 

A graduate of St. Jerome R.C.C. High School Tamaqua, Jerome served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jerome was a welder, retiring as an inspector from Conrail having worked 41 years. 

An avid supporter of Marian Catholic High School athletics, Jerome served as assistant softball coach at Marian for many years. A member of the East End Fire Company, Tamaqua, Jerome was an ardent fan of Notre Dame Football and the Philadelphia Philles. He extnded his mechanical talents to many neighbors, friends and family.

Born in Tamaqua the son of the late Daniel J., and Veronica (Fulmer) Tracy he was also predeceased by; sisters, Catherine Secara, Rose McCarroll; brothers, Michael, Francis, Thomas, Daniel, Joseph, and Clement.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday April 13, 2018 at 10 o'clock A.M. from St. Richards R.C.C. 799 Barnesville Drive, Barnesville, Pennsylvania 18214. 

Friends may call on Thursday evening April 12, 2018 at the funeral home from 5 to 7:00 P.M. 

no morning calling. 

Interment with Military Honors St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Nancy D. Connors, R.N., 91 of Pottsville, died Tuesday evening at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.

She was born December 13, 1926 in Pottsville daughter of the late Charles E. and Margaret C. Coyne Dougherty.

She was a 1944 Graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School and a 1947 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.

Prior to retiring she worked as a Nurse at the Graduate Hospital, Philadelphia, the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville and the Greenview Nursing Home, Orwigsburg.

Nancy was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Paul J. Connors, April 19, 2011; a sister, Joan D. Cressman; a brother, Ned Dougherty. Surviving are her son, Ned Connors and his wife Lori, Pottsville; 2 daughters, Christine C. Kurtz, Fort Lee, NJ; Anne M. Connors, Pottsville; 4 grandchildren, Thomas Kurtz and his wife Stacey, Margaret Kurtz, Olivia and Peyton Connors; Nieces and Nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30AM from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 6-8PM Friday and from 9-10AM Saturday at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contribution made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund, 319 Mahantongo St. Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.

Helen (Toot) M. Schrader, 94, of Pottsville, formerly of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, April 11th, at Schuylkill Center - Genesis Healthcare . Helen was born in Auburn, PA on July 2, 1923, a daughter of the late Lily (Bahmer) and Aaron Long .

She was the widow of Arlin W. Schrader .

She was a member of Zion's Red Church, Orwigsburg. She enjoyed playing bingo.

Helen is survived by a daughter Mary Ann Varnes, companion of Joseph Reynolds of Coatesville and a son Joseph A. Schrader, husband of Shannon of Port Carbon.

She is also survived by grandchildren Barbara Miller, wife of David, Michael Varnes, husband of Gena, Amanda Verdensky, wife of John, Joseph Schrader as well as six great grandchildren Evan, Reilly, Jaxson, Corey husband of Brittanie, Codey and Cole.

She was preceded in death by her daughters Darlene & Nancy Schrader.

A celebration of life Service will be held at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11 AM., with Rev. William Pifer-Foote officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of service. Interment will follow at Zion's Red Church Cemetery
