Michael J. Witkus, 72, of Orwigsburg, passed away Monday, April 9th, at the VA Medical Center, Wilkes Barre.

Michael was born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania on May 5, 1945, a son of the late Florence (Zelonis) and Joseph Witkus.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was formerly employed by Exide.

He is preceded in death by a son Timothy Witkus and brothers Robert and Joseph.

Michael is survived by a son Christopher Witkus, Hamburg; grandchildren Madelynn and Kylie; siblings Allen, Steven and David.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home , Cressona, at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 17th, with Deacon Jack Quirk officiating.

A viewing for family and friends will be held Tuesday 9:30 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

John William "Bill" Larish, 74, of 25 N. Nichols St., St. Clair, died Monday at The Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, June 11, 1943, He was a son of the late John Jacob and Betty (Wineland) Larish.

He was a graduate of St. Clair High School.

"Bill" retired as an orderly from the former Pottsville Hospital & Warne Clinic and loved going to the Casinos.

He was of the Protestant Faith.

Surviving are a sister Ruth Kisko and her husband Carl of Lake Wynonah; a brother James D. Larish Sr. and his wife Mary of St. Clair; Nieces Christine Hazzard and her husband Charles; Terry Cupit and her husband Matthew Alexandra L. Larish; Nephews John Kisko and his wife Jane; James D. Larish Jr.; Eric M. Larish and his wife Maria; a great nephew Charlie Hazzard.

Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 PM Friday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair with Pastor Jack Murray officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home . In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray costs.

Irene Catherine Hartman, 92, of New Ringgold passed away Tuesday, April 10th, at Luther Ridge, Pottsville. Irene was born in Tamaqua on September 7, 1925, a daughter of the late Eva (Hess) and Carlton Grube. She was the widow of John E. Hartman, Sr.

She was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Ringgold, as well as the New Ringgold Fire Company Auxiliary and Card clubs. She was a graduate of Tamaqua High School, class of 1942. She had worked as a Secretary.

Irene is survived by a daughter, Cynthia K., wife of Burt Werdt, of Orwigsburg,

Three sons John (Jack) E. Jr., husband of Karen Hartman, of Orwigsburg, Dennis C., husband of Kathy Hartman, of New Ringgold, Ricci L. husband of Susanne Hartman, of Orwigsburg. She is also survived by a brother, Carl, husband of Jean Grube, of New Ringgold, 9 grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and a great great grandson Charlie. She is predeceased by a sister Phyllis Heiser.

A religious service will be held at 11 AM at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Ringgold, on Saturday, April 14. Friends are invited to call from 9:30 until time of service in the church. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery.
