Mary A. Baiocco, 89, of Tamaqua, PA died on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in Coaldale, PA.
She was the wife of the late Vincent J. Baiocco who died in 1988 on their 40th Wedding Anniversary. Born in Middleport, PA on February 5, 1929, Mary was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (nee Niadna) Welgo. A 1947 graduate of the former Blythe Township High School, she was one of the first employees for John Morgan at the former Morgan Knitting Mills and also worked at the Purling Mills. A member of The Parish of St. John the 23rd and the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Mary dedicated her life to the church and to helping care for people, often opening her house to anyone in need of a place to stay. She was a good baker, had a green thumb, and was also a member of the Italian Club.
Mary is survived by sons, Vincent J. Baiocco of Pottsville, PA and John L. Baiocco of Emmaus, PA; daughter, Yvonne Stauffer of Macungie, PA; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by all her siblings, brothers, Joseph, Edward, John and Louis and sisters, Regina and Stephanie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Monday, April 23 in St. John the 23rd Catholic Church, 266 West Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA. Interment in St. Jerome Cemetery, Lombard Street, Tamaqua will follow the Mass. Call 9:30-11AM in the church.

Helen K. Ostrosky, 85, of Coaldale, PA died on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Coaldale.
She was the wife of the late George Ostrosky who died in 1986.
Born in Coaldale on June 29, 1932, Helen was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (nee Sawchuk) Kinn. She was a 1950 graduate of the former Coaldale High School. A member of St. Mary Russian Orthodox Church, Coaldale, Helen was active in the choir, the Good Samaritans, and the Ladies Aide Society for which she served as a treasurer.
She is survived by daughters, Marie Kalavritinos and her husband, Christopher of Potomac, MD and Ann Ostrosky of Coaldale and numerous nephews and nieces.
Helen was predeceased by a sister, Anna and brothers, Harold, John, Joseph, and Anthony.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 24 in St. Mary Russian Orthodox Church, First and Phillips Streets, Coaldale with The Very Rev. James P. Weremedic officiating.
Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown, PA will follow services. Call at the church 6-8 PM on Monday and 10-11 AM on Tuesday. Panachida services will be held at 7:30 PM on Monday.
