The body of a soldier from Mahanoy City who passed away last week will arrive in the borough late Thursday.
According to the obituary of Specialist Peter Thomas Luddy, 21, of Mahanoy City, Luddy passed away last Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 in Carillion Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Va., following a traumatic brain injury while on a training mission with the U.S. Army.
Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, is in charge of arrangements.
According to the funeral home's website, Luddy's body will arrive in Mahanoy City between 8:00pm and 9:00pm Thursday, May 17th on Centre Street from the East of town.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 11 am on Monday, May 21st, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.
