Beulah "Toots" Knehr, 93, of W. Laurel St.,Tremont, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 in Orwigsburg Center.

Born on September 23, 1924 in South Canaan, PA, she was a daughter of the late Royal O. and Hila O. Stinnard.

She was a 1942 graduate and valedictorian of Waymart High School.

She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Tremont. She was also a member of the Tremont Senior Citizens where she was President for 8 years, Vice President and Trip Coordinator for 10 years. She served on the Tremont Election Board as a Clerk Inspector and Judge for 41 years. She loved to quilt, fish and play pinochle.

Beulah worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for Fox Knapp. Mfg, Pine Grove for 20 years.

Preceding her in death was her husband, George L. Knehr on Jan. 10, 1990; a son, Carl Knehr in 1983; and three sisters, Margaret, Lavinia, and Edith.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth and wife Irene Knehr of Sacramento; a daughter-in-law Gloria Knehr of Pine Grove; three grandchildren, Christine Knehr, Stacie and husband Ray Kutz, Jennifer and husband Jesse Debinski; five great-grandchildren, Haley and Chariah Debinski, Abri, Coen and Adden Kutz; a brother, Eston Brooks of Waymart.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Ron Ashcroft officiating. There will be a viewing on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the St. John's Union Cemetery, Friedensburg.

Joan M. "Tootie" Fenstermaker, age 70, of Pottsville, PA passed away on Monday May 7th, 2018 at home after a heroic battle of thirty four years, succumbing to the injuries sustained in an automobile accident on the afternoon of December 31, 1983.

Born in Pottsville, PA on April 2, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn (Bohannon) Kenney Sr.

Joan attended St. Patrick's Grade School, Pottsville High School, and Empire Beauty School. She worked in many capacities from the winding room to the business office at American Argo. She was the secretary of the Argo Social Club and a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of three years, William Fenstermaker, who died in a car accident in 1983.

Joan is survived by her son Tim Seip, past State Representative, and his wife Starr and her granddaughter Elisa Seip, all of Washington Twp; a sister Carolyn Ganter and two brothers: John Kenney and his wife Roseann and Joseph Kenney Jr. and his wife Lois, all of Pottsville; a niece Kelly Gajewski and her husband Fred, Birdsboro; a nephew Scott Kenney, Ohio; and three grandnephews: Connor and Hunter Gajewski and Kyle Kenney. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville at 10AM on Friday, May 11th.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday evening from 6-8PM and Friday morning from 8:30-9:30AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon.

Interment will be in the Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Pottsville.

Walter T. "Boots" Englert, 92 of Tuscarora, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. 

Widower of Margaret (Krynock) Englert, Walter is survived by; daughter, Donna Marie Alonge with whom he resided; grandchild, Joseph Alonge and his companion Terry Barron of Tuscarora, great grandchild, Amanda Runk wife of Michael of Tamaqua,1 great great grandchild, Nolan Runk. 

Walter retired from Harris Steel in NJ. He was a lifetime, active member of the Tuscarora Fire Company, and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Walter belonged to the Moss Glenn Sportsman's Club. 

Walter was an ardent Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Redskins, and college football fan, especially the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Born Monday, September 21, 1925 in Newkirk the son of the late Walter, and Sarah Englert. He was also predeceased by; daughter, Carol Kellett; sisters, Margie Pech, Anna Dietrich, and Mary Casper; brothers, Joe, Harold "Slim", and James Englert.

A Funeral service will be at 1 o'clock PM on Friday May 11, 2018 from the funeral home. Friends may call on the morning of services from 12:00 P.M. until time of services. 

Interment will be in St. Bertha's Cemetery, Walker Twp., Tuscarora, Pennsylvania

Jenine L. Miller, 42, of Ashland,PA passed away Sunday, May 6th, 2018
peacefully surrounded by her family at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.

Born in Ashland Sept. 16,1975 the daughter of the late Robert G. and Beverly Ann (Grady) Miller. She graduated from North Schuylkill High School in 1994. Worked as a waitress and later a CNA.

She later delivered the Republican Herald Newspaper in the Mahoning Valley with her brother Robert.

Surviving are a daughter Marisa Rebakah Pennington, State College,PA; Son Jeremiah Hunter Barry, Ashland. Brother Robert husband of Patricia Miller, Helfeinstein,PA; sister Christine Langton, Mt. Carmel and Brother Stephen Miller of Mt. Carmel, PA.

Preceding her in death were two sisters Nadine and Lisanne Miller. Jenine loved animals, music and loved to be with her children. She will be greatly missed.
