Joan A. Lehman, 70, of Tremont Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at home.
Born on March 8, 1948 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Francis I. and Pearl M. Fehr Wolfe.

She was a 1966 graduate of Pine Grove High School.

Joan was a Postmaster for the Ravine Post Office before retiring in 2003 and was a member of NAPUS. She also received the Postmaster of the Year award.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Richard E. Lehman; a daughter, Melanie M. Dennis of Pine Grove, a son, Chris R. Lehman of Schuylkill Haven and his fiancée Lori Post; two granddaughters, Cheyenne Lehman and Rachel Dennis.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Bob Kensinger officiating. There will be a visitation on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, P.O. Box 332 Schuylkill Haven, Pa. 17972 in her memory.

Mary R. Whitecavage, age 97, of Mahanoy City, died Saturday at Shenandoah Senior Living Community. Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital she was the daughter of the late John & Ann (Duresky) Durko. She was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and had been employed by City Shirt Factory. She was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City, the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union and the First Catholic Slovak Union. Preceding her in death were her husband Stephen A. Whitecavage, a son David and two daughters Pauline Kondisko and Marie Hoffner, a sister Anna Gomosky and 2 brothers John and Joseph Durko. Survivors include one son Robert and his wife Deborah of Mahanoy City, a brother William of Connecticut, grandchildren Amber, Danielle, Amy, Kristin, Kellie, Tammie, Michael, Robert, Kelsey and Morgan and great grandchildren Elizabeth, Anthony, Dylan, Meah, Calli, Aliyah and Karter, nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Thursday morning at 11 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church. Interment will follow in Assumption BVM Cemetery in Mahanoy Township. Friends may call at the church Thursday morning beginning at 10 AM. David D.
