Bruce G. Jones, 61 years of age of Barnesville, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at home, having fought a courageous battle aginst cancer. 

Survived b is wife of forty-three years, Marilyn (Quinn) Jones; daughters, Stacey Betz wife of James of New Ringgold, Sonja Ritter wife of Richard III of Tamaqua; brother, Barry Jones and his companion Sandy of Clayton, DE.; grand children, Richard, and Zella. 

Bruce served honorably in the United States Army and retired from International Paper as a Industrial Electrician. He enjoyed driving his Iron Head Harley Chopper.Born Saturday, February 9, 1957 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the son of Delores Mae (Yeager) Jones of Tamaqua, and the late John Jones. Bruce was also predeceased by his brother, Brian "Bopper" Jones.

Theresa F Maag, age 88, of Premier at Susquehanna, Millersburg, formerly of Valley View and Schwenksville, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 at Premier at Susquehanna. Millersburg.

She was born on Tuesday, August 6, 1929, in Pitman, a daughter the late of Daniel Wehry and the late Marie Wehry.

She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Schwenksville.

Theresa enjoyed playing bingo and collecting native American jewelry. She also enjoyed touring the United States on bus trips.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her first husband, Darwin E Miller; her second husband, Louis E Maag, Jr; and by a brother, Nathan Kehler.

She is survived by a son, Craig E Miller and his wife Linda of Muncy; a daughter, Peggy M Klinger and her husband Roy of Lykens Twp.; five grandchildren, Timothy Klinger, Angela Heim, Brian Miller, Brent Miller, and Brooke Reynolds; four great-grandchildren, Samantha Schlegel, Tanner Schlegel, Katelyn Kintzler, and Dennis Klinger; a great great grandson, Erik Kintzler; a sister, Jean Rabideau; a sister in law Barbara Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Friday, June 8, 2018, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.

Anna E. Smith, 90, lifelong resident of Mahanoy Plane, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening at home surrounded by her loving family who were her pride and joy.

Born in Mahanoy Plane, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Julia Kerrigan Griffin.

A 1945 graduate of Gilberton High School, she loved planning and organizing her class reunions.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Frackville, the Catholic Daughters of Frackville and Girardville and the LAOH Division 13 Daughters of Erin, Girardville.

Anna was strong in her Catholic faith and Irish heritage, lighting up the room with her personality wherever she went. She loved bingo, trips to the casino, sweets and bragging about her big family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Smith and her sister Mary Dallatore.

Anna is survived by her seven children: Robert and his wife Colleen Smith, Elizabethtown, Partick and his wife Dot Smith, Harrisburg, Maureen and her husband Mark Cannon, Manassas, VA, Jule Ann and her husband Joseph Joyce, Mahanoy Plane, Colleen and her husband Kevin Joyce, Ringtown, Sr. Donna Marie Smith D.C., Wilmington, DE and Elizabeth Smith of Wallingford; her brother David and his wife Rose Griffin, Harrisburg; her 12 loving grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday from St. Ann’s Church, 49 N. Line Street Frackville, PA with Rev. Robert Finlan, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends may call at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, 403 W. Main Street Girardville, on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Interment will be held in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions be made, in Anna’s name, to St. Peter Cathedral School at 310 W. 6th Street Wilmington, DE 19801

Elsie M. Schneck, 71, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, June 2nd, peacefully, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.

She was born in Cressona, on June 15, 1946, a daughter of the late Kathryn (Wengert) and John Donton.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Summer Hill Auburn.

She worked at Plain & Fancy Donut Shop Schuylkill Haven.

She belonged to Cressona Eastern Star. Graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School

Elsie is preceded in death by a brother, James Donton, and a sister, Mary Donton Gaston.

She is survived by a daughter, Cristal Schneck, fiancee of Chris, of Auburn PA ; a son, Troy Schneck, of Schuylkill Haven PA; a granddaughter Britnee Schneck; three sisters, Edna, wife of Paul Blankenhorn, of Schuylkill Haven; Sherry, wife of Bruce Wolfe, of Tremont; Violet Boyer, of Pine Grove, a brother Robert Donton of Cressona, and , she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. , 25 East Main Street Schuylkill Haven, PA, at 2 pm on Wednesday, June 6th.

A visitation will be held Wednesday 1-2 pm. at Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment will be private at convenience of the Family.

Jean A. Dolan, 80, of Ringtown, passed away Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 while a guest at the Ridgeview Healthcare & Rehab Center, Shenandoah,

Jean was born in Ashland, on May 21, 1938, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Piccolo) and Nicholas Carado, and lived most of her life in Girardville.

She was a member of the ILGWU and was retired from the Gittman Brothers Shirt Company in Ashland and was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ringtown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Dolan and a daughter, JeanAnn Ganunis. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Corigliano and Lucy Pryzbeck, and a brother Frank Carado.

She is survived by a daughter Deborah, wife of Jerry Manbeck, of Ringtown; a son Michael, and his wife Joann Dolan, of Girardville; and a sister Rose McMonegal, of Maryland.

She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Barry Heiser, Gina Dyer, Jerry Manbeck, Kimberly Contra, Sarah Dolan and Nicholas Ganunis; 4 great grandchildren, Madison, Paige, Kirsten and Evan Heiser.

A Private Funeral Service for family and friends will be held at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Streert, Ringtown, followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ft. Springs.
