Ronald C. Fetterman, 70, of Ashland, PA was called home to His Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 while a resident at the Mt. Carmel Senior Living Community, Mt. Carmel, PA. Born in Ashland on November 13, 1947, he was the son of the late Charles and Olive Fetterman.

Ronald was a graduate of the Ashland Area High School and served his country as an Army Veteran in the Vietnam War. He was recently honored for being a 50 year member of the Centralia American Legion Post 608. He was last employed for many years as an insurance agent for the Varano Insurance Agency, Shamokin.

Ronald is survived by many dear friends and loved ones.

Joseph "Tibbsey" Anthony Boyle, age 71, of Barnesville met his Heavenly Father of July 4. He died peacefully in his sleep at home after an 8 month courageous battle with cancer. 

Born April 15, 1947 in Shenandoah he was the son of the late Joseph and Julia (McLaughlin) Boyle. He also was the proud grandson of the late Anthony P. and Rose McLaughlin. His grandfather Anthony "Beaut" McLaughlin was a well known chief of police in Mahanoy City for many years. He was a 1967 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970 during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He also served 20 years in the National Guard. Tibbsey worked for 33 years at Fort Indiantown Gap for the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs retiring in 2009. He was a parishoner of St. Richard's Church in Barnesville. He also was a member of the American Legion and TPA. 

He married his best friend, Maryellen Dalinsky on July 2, 1977. They had a wonderful marriage for 41 years. They enjoyed being together and having fun. They shared many awesome vacations and made each other laugh. They were blessed with a loving and caring son Joseph McLaughlin Boyle who is married to Victoria Morgan who reside in Cherry Hill NJ. They have 2 beautiful daughters Addison and Emerson. They loved and enjoyed spending time with heir pap pap. Tibbsey was an avid runner for 35 yeras and loved exercising. He participated in many local races for pure enjoyment and wanted to support the organizations. He played adult softball and basketball in his earlier years. He also dabbled a bit in boxing and was pretty good at it. Once you were Tibbsey's friend you were a lifetime friend. If you needed help he was right there. He was such a gentleman and had a smile and kind word for everyone. He was a very spiritual person and prayed the rosary daily. He was a devoted son when his parents were living. He was a wonderful husband, father, pap pap, godfather, brother in law, uncle and cousins. Nothing was too much for his family. Tibbsey was also a great host. He had many elaborate parties and picnics for family and friends at his home. 

Survivors include his loving wife Maryellen, son Joseph and his wife Victoria of New Jersey, granddaughters Addison and Emerson, brother in law Matthew Dalinsky of Mahanoy City, a goddaughter Mary Catherine Dalinsky of New Jersey, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Friday morning at 10 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Richard's Church in Barnesville at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home onThursday from 6 to 8 PM and again on Friday morning beginning at 8:30 AM.

Sylvia Kathryn Shay
, 86, of Orwigsburg, passed away Wednesday, July 4th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Sylvia was born in Orwigsburg, on April 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Kathryn (Brocius) and Marlin W. Gruver.

She was the wife of Jesse T. Shay.

Sylvia was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Orwigsburg, and an Orwigsburg High School Graduate, Class of 1950

She worked as a Sewing Machine Operator in the Orwigsburg area.

In addition to her Husband Jesse, of 62 years, Sylvia is also survived by

Two sisters, Janet Bensinger & Jean Wessner. Her brother, Barry Gruver

Grandsons Shad & Joshua Gruver and Great Grandson Jonathan Gruver

Sylvia was predeceased by her son Thomas (Pete) Gruver and her sister Shirley Hoy.

A Religious Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, July 9th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, with Rev. Kathleen Ash-Flashner officiating.

Friends are invited to call from 9:30 AM until time of service.

Private Interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
