Sheriff's Office Warns Residents About Court Phone Scam

The Schuylkill County Sheriff's Office is warning county residents about a telephone scam.

During the scam, residents are being told they have missed a court date and are being asked for money to pay fines for failing to appear. Usually they are asked to pay via credit card or wire money.

The Sheriff's office says if you have any questions in regards to a court date or warrant you can call (570) 628-1440.
