High Winds and Locally Heavy Rain Possible Friday Afternoon and Evening

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazard Weather Outlook for Friday and Friday evening.

According to the NWS, Scattered severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts of 60 mph or greater, frequent cloud to ground lightning and locally heavy rain
are possible Friday afternoon and evening.

Locally heavy downpours will also pose a risk of flash flooding as the ground is already saturated from earlier rainfall.

Scattered storms are expected to effect the county around 2:00pm with the chance increasing more towards the 8:00pm-9:00pm timeframe.
