Elaine D. Brachman, 79, of Seneca Street, Tuscarora, PA died on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Coaldale, PA. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Brachman who died in 2007.
Born on March 29, 1939 Elaine was a daughter of the late William and Dorothy (nee Williams) Sterner. A seamstress, she retired from the former Morgan Kitting Mills in Hometown, PA and previously had been employed at Tuscarora Sportswear. Elaine loved animals and working in her garden.
She is survived by son, Charles Brachman, Jr. of Tuscarora; daughters, Crystal and her life partner Jeffery Miller of Tuscarora and Lorraine Kauterman and her husband John of Hamburg, PA; grandchildren, Derek Hodon, Fallyn Brachman, Michelle Kauterman, John Kauterman, Jr., and Shane Miller; great grandson, Chase Serfass; sister, Margaret Vilchek of Tuscarora; brothers, Owen Martin of Barnesville, PA and Thomas Martin of Tamaqua; and several nieces and nephews.
Elaine was predeceased by grandson Brandon Hodon in 2004; sister, Alice Langdon; and brother, William Sterner, Jr.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 29 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pa with The Rev. Fred T. Crawford officiating. Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, 503 West Broad Street, Tamaqua will follow. Call from 10-11 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Steven L Yoder, 68, of Old Canal Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born on August 27, 1949 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Bert and Doris Hand Yoder.
He was a 1967 graduate of Pine Grove High School. He attended Wyoming Seminary for electrical engineering and the police academy at HACC.

He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
Steve's passion was to be a police officer and he took pride in his work. He worked in Tremont, Auburn, Harrisburg for the Capital Police, 16 years in Pine Grove and 6 years at Indiantown Gap.
He was a member of the NRA, Sons of the American Legion in Pine Grove, Pine Grove VFW Post 3432, H.H. & L. Fire Co. #1, Ten Pin Club, Pine Grove Fish & Game, and life member of the Tulpehocken Rifle & Pistol Club.

Preceding him in death was a grandson Zachary Russell Moyer.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Cynthia Martin Yoder; two daughters, Melissa Ulsh and companion Todd Bettinger of Tremont, Valerie and husband Scott Moyer of Pine Grove; a son, John Wentworth and companion Megan Vides of Millersburg; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 312 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove with Dr. Richard Schoenleber officiating. There will be a visitation on Thursday, August 30, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. at the Church. Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.

Mr. Louis A. Flaim Sr., age 86, of Mahanoy City, passed away Saturday. He is survived by his wife Rose Marie, sons Louis Jr., Anthony and Eric and daughters Linda, Nancy and Gail.
