William P. Melchoir, Jr., 67 years of age of Spring Road, Andreas, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.

Survived by his wife of forty-one years, Barbara A. (Barron) Melchoir; daughter, Kristy L. Melchoir of Tamaqua; sister, Jean Hill of Tamaqua.

A 1969 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Bill retired from KME Mobile Equipment of Nesquehoning in 2017 having worked there for 35 years. He was a founding member of the Tamaqua Historical Society and Save Our Station in Tamaqua. Bill was a talented wood worker and enjoyed collecting trains.

Born Monday, February 5, 1951 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the son of the late William P. Melchoir, Sr., and Pearl (Kemp) Melchoir.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday September 20, 2018 from the funeral home. Friends may call on the morning of services from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.

Interment Sky-View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Richard L. Koch, 83, of Orwigsburg, PA died on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Lebanon, PA. He was the husband of the late Frances R. Koch who died in 2016.

Born in Orwigsburg on July 1, 1935, Richard was the son of the late C. Richard and Verna A. (nee Hettinger) Koch.

A 1953 graduate of the former Cressona High School, he had worked for 20 years at Weatherly Casting and Machine Company and prior to that at the Hamburg Pattern Works. Richard was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, New Ringgold and the Schuylkill Blue Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons, Orwigsburg.

An avid golfer, he was a member of the Senior League at Mountain Valley Golf Club in Barnesville and at the Perry Golf Course in Hamburg. Richard was also an avid small game hunter and enjoyed repairing and making furniture. He and his wife ran flea market stands together.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Leslie A. Ziegenfus and her husband, Steven; grandchildren, Jacob H. Ziegenfus and Amber R. Ziegenfus; and nephews and nieces, John Miller, Scott Miller, Cynthia Miller, Eric Leiby, Jonathan Leiby, and Roxanne Farrell.

He was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Alderfer and Arlean Miller.

Services will be held at Noon on Friday, September 28, at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with The Rev. Richard Dubbs officiating.

Interment in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, PA will follow services. Call 10 AM - Noon on Friday, September 28, at the funeral home.
