Mahanoy City American Legion Women's Auxiliary Gives Back

The American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Mahanoy City gave back to Veterans on Saturday..
On Saturday evening, the Mahanoy City American Legion, Post 74 Women’s Auxiliary hosted their annual Veteran’s Day dinner. All Veteran’s are given a free meal of pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and a dessert. The Auxiliary has been hosting this dinner for the last 20 years.

The women work all week to prepare the feast that feeds roughly 70 Veteran’s. The President of the Auxiliary, Lois Thomas said “This is just one simple way of giving back to those who served. We wouldn’t be here without our Veteran’s. We are forever grateful for their service.”

On top of the meal, the Women’s Auxilliary also presented the Commander of Post 74, Neil Pascoli, a check for $500 towards the upkeep of the Post.
