Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House Held for New Ambulance Building

The Washington Fire Company Community Ambulance Inc., Ashland held a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for their new ambulance building on Saturday afternoon

The ribbon cutting ceremony was held in front of the new building located at 1301 Centre Street.

According to President David Mitten, the project took six years from start to finish.

"The new building will enhance our ability to serve the community and will provide our organization with much needed space for storage of supplies.  It also includes an administrative office for staff and EMTS, a large room for staff training classes and meetings, a kitchen, day room, bunk rooms, shower and bathroom facilities." said Mitten.

Fire Department and Ambulance member, William McFadden had the honors of cutting ribbon.

President Mitten lead the ceremony with Pastor Jeremy Smallwood offering prayer.

Afterwards from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, an open house was held to allow the public in to tour the new building.
