Kayleen E. Bumberger, 46 of Pottsville, Pennsylvania died on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at home.

Born Friday, March 24, 1972 in Montbello, California the daughter of Cheryl (Chiquet) Swanson and the late Ronald D. Swanson. Kayleen is survived by; sons, Jacob Bumberger and Gabriel Bumberger, sister, Heather Welker wife of Timothy; fiancee, Jerome Burinsky.

She was predeceased by brother, Garland Swanson.

A Memorial Service will be held from the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252 on Monday December 3, 2018 at 7 o'clock P.M.. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until time of reflection.

Mae E. Berger, 97, formerly of Wayne Twp., passed away Tuesday, November 27th, at Luther Ridge, Pottsville, where she had been a resident for almost six years.

Born in Berks County, PA on June 20, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Jacob & Gussie (Kiefer) Drumheller.

She was the widow of Wayne L. Berger.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mae is also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Berger, sisters: Ruth Smith, Grace Stengle, & Joan Sojtori, and brother, Ralph Drumheller.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Friedensburg.

Mae is survived by a daughter, Linda Schropp & husband, Roger, Oley, PA, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Molly Veramonti, Chester County, PA.

Mae was a caring wife and mother with a hearty laugh especially when eavesdropping on a humorous converation at the next table.She had no problem joining in their laughter.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Friedensburg at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1st, with Pastor Peggy Sue Pfeffer officiating.

A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at the church cemetery, St. John's Union Cemetery.

Gary R. Wood, 75, of Ringtown, passed away Tuesday, November 27th, 2018.

Gary was born in Danville on June 18, 1943, a son of the late Robert W. Wood and Lois E. (Neaus) Wood, a resident of the Garden at Drums.

He was a graduate of the Black Creek Township High School.

Gary worked for 17 years at Valley Seeding Company in Sugarloaf, before starting to work as a repair and serviceman forJeld-Wen in Ringtown from which he retired.

He attended and was an active member of St.John's Lutheran Church in Ringtown.

An avid hunter, he was a former member of both the Tip Top Hunters and the Park Crest Fish and Game Club. Gary enjoyed gardening, mowing grass and blowing snow, but most importantly, spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Wood.

In addition to his mother Lois, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara (Grow) Wood, along with their two children, Gary Wood, Jr., and his wife Sandy, of Turkey Run, and Virginia Wood, of Ringtown. His sister, Susan, wife of Dennis Kuzmitsky, of Sugarloaf also survives as does 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at St.John's Lutheran Church, 106 West Main Street, Ringtown, with Pastor Jay Serafin officiating.

Visitation with Gary's family will be from 10 AM to 11 AM at the church prior to the service.

Gary's family requests donations in lieu of flowers to be made to the St. John's Maintenance Fund, 106 West Main Street, Ringtown.

Jacque G. "Jack" Brown, 87, passed away Monday evening at the Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Muir, February 22, 1931, a son of the late Harvey and Ethel Updegrove Brown.

He was a graduate of the former Porter Tower High School. Jack was a Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a retired custodian from the Williams Valley School District.

He was of the Protestant faith and a member of the NRA. Jack enjoyed hunting and being in the outdoors.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Marie Kreiner Brown, 2011 and a brother Bill Brown.

Surviving are his son, David Brown and his wife Stacy, Herndon; two grandchildren, Jenelle Brown and Jason Brown; one brother, George "Peanut" Brown and his wife Betty, Tower City; Nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, November 30th from the Methodist Cemetery, Muir, with Pastor Amanda Bressler. Memorial donations in his name should be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, Wiconisco Street, Muir, PA 17957.

James R. "Bud" Fleming, 96, of Tremont, passed away Monday evening at the Tremont Health and Rehab.

Born in Donaldson, January 22, 1922, a son of the late Thomas and Sara Fleming.

He was a W.W. II Navy Veteran.

Jim was retired from Ft. Indiantown Gap, Annville

He was a member of Most Blessed Trinity Catholic Parish, Tremont. Bud was also a member of the Tremont American Legion. He will be remembered for being accomplished pool shooter, playing up until the age of 95.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Eileen Daggett Fleming; 2012; a son, James Fleming, 1969; brothers, Paul, Joseph, Thomas and John Fleming; sisters Helen Walbert, Mary Emberger and Catherine Conway.

Surviving are his son, Joseph Fleming and his wife Annette, Newtown; two grandsons, Michael and Gabriel Fleming, Newtown. Nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 1st at 10:00 am from Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont with Rev. Jason Stokes as celebrant. Private burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Memorial donations in his memory should be made to his church, 113 Cherry Street, P.O. Box 35, Tremont PA 17981.
