Flood Watch Issued for Schuylkill County

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Schuylkill County.


FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a

* Flood Watch for a portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin,
Perry, Schuylkill, and York.

* A widespread rainfall of one to two inches with locally higher amounts is expected Thursday night through Friday.

* Given recent heavy rain and saturated ground conditions, this amount of rain will result in minor flooding of poor drainage and low lying areas. Moderate river rises are expected as well, with the potential for minor flooding of tributaries and smaller streams.
