Ralph J. Gerber, 102 years of age of New Ringgold, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at St. Luke's Miner's Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.

Born Saturday, November 4, 1916 in New Ringgold, Pennsylvania the son of the late Mahlon, and Katie (Clause) Gerber. Ralph was also predeceased by his wife of seventy-seven years, Elda Eva (Shellhammer) Gerber on October 23, 2017; sister, Lois Steigerwalt; brothers, Lloyd and Paul Gerber.

Surviving are daughters, Janice Rudy wife of Walter of Delaware, and Rhea A. Steigerwalt wife of Gerald of New Ringgold; sister, Lois Steigerwalt; grandchildren, Aaron Steigerwalt and his wife Jennifer, Audra wife of Tyler Schlecht, Jr., Alison wife of Lance Lane, Michael Rudy and his wife Cheryl; great grandchildren, Noah, Mikayah, Theron, Trenton, Payton.

Ralph worked for the Lehigh & New England Railroad for 20 years and retired from M&M Quarry of Lansdale. He was a devoted life time member of Zion Stone Church of West Penn Township. A talented wood worker Ralph liked to make model trains and enjoyed gardening and cutting the grass.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 18, 2018 at 11 o'clock A.M. from Zion Stone Church of West Penn Twp. 45 Cemetery Road New Ringgold, Pennsylvania, Rev. Russell Campbell to officiate.

Friends may call on Monday evening December 17, 2018 from 6 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and on the morning of services in church beginning at 10:00 A.M.

Interment will be in Zion 's Union Stone Church Cemetery, New Ringgold, Pennsylvania.

Donna M. Melocheck, 58, of Ashland, PA passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA.
Born in Pottsville, PA September 8, 1960, the daughter of Rose and the late Franklin Wolfgang and Lyle Clark. She graduated from Tri-Valley High School.
She is survived by her husband: Kevin "Peck" Melocheck, Ashland. A son and a daughter: PJ and his wife Amber Melocheck, Hegins; and Amy and her husband Dave Wehry, Ashland. 6 Grandchildren: Callie, Faith, Wes, and Charlotte Melocheck and Alivia and David Wehry. Brother: Dennis and his wife Judy Clark. Sister: Karen and her husband Ken Sheriff. Stepbrother: Richard and his wife Kathy Wolfgang.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 12 noon at St. Charles Borromeo, Ashland with Rev. Paul Rothermel officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM to the time of service at the church. Interment at the convenience of the family.

Sally S. Zaharick, 64, of Deep Creek Road, Ashland, passed away with family at her side, Monday, December 10th, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Fountain Springs, November 23, 1954, she is the daughter of Ronald Zerby, Ashland, and the late Mary Woodward Kelly, passing June 4, 2018. She was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, class of 1972, and was employed as Billing Clerk for the former Ashland Regional Medical Center, and later as a Registration Clerk for the Schuylkill Medical Center, South, Pottsville. Sally was a member of St. Charles Barromeo Roman Catholic Parish, Ashland. She was an amazing fun loving women, always wanting to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was a son, Richard Zaharick, September 28, 2012, and a brother in law, Michael Zaharick, passing in January 26, 2016.

Sister: Lisa wife of Donald Metzinger, Ashland

Brother: William Zerby and his companion Michelle Joline, Ashland

Four Grandchildren: Colton, Nikolas, Giana, John

Nieces and Nephews

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Saturday, December 15th, at 11 AM, in Christ’s United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Laura Csellak, pastor of Christ’s United Lutheran Church, and Rev. Paul Rothermel, pastor of St. Charles Barromeo Catholic Parish, Ashland. Visitation with family will begin at 9 AM until service. Memorials may be made to the memorial fund of Christ’s United Lutheran Church, 437 Airport Road, Ashland, PA., 17921.
