Edward M. Whalen III, 52 of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania died on Friday, January 4, 2019 in St. Clair.

Born Friday, April 1, 1966 in Frackville, he was the son of Edward Whalen, Jr. and the late Caroline Schaeffer Whalen. Ed was also predeceased by a brother, Michael.

Surviving are son, Jordan Lee Whalen and his companion Haily of Frackville; brothers, Jimmy Whalen, Bobby Whalen, Jeffrey Whalen and Shawn Whalen, sisters, Michelle Salked and Shannon Sterner.

Christina Marie Patalano, Hartsdale, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the age of 79.

She was born on July 23, 1939 to Samuel and Josephine Ranallo. Christina is predeceased in death by her parents, her husband Pasquale Patalano, a son Aniello (Neal) Patalano, and her brother Mario Ranallo.

She is survived by her children Anna Patalano and Byron Bensinger of Barnesville, PA, Gina Patalano Ali of White Plains, NY, Anthony Patalano of Calverton, NY, Maria and her husband Joseph Caraballo of Stuart, FL, Patricia and her husband Joseph Reale of Wappingers Falls, NY, and Joseph Patalano of Port St. Lucie, FL; stepson Mark Patalano of Patterson, NY; and grandchildren Joseph and Courtney, Patsi and Mena, Christi, Domenic, Gabriella, Gianna, Sean, Nicholas, Sergio, Samantha, Christina, Joseph, and Lauren.

Christina enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, bird watching, and watching Hallmark and Lifetime movies.

Calling hours will be held at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home, White Plains, New York on Friday, January 11 between the hours of 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM and on Saturday, January 12 starting at 9 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Hartsdale, NY.

Interment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.

Arrangements in Pennsylvania have been handled by the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Tamaqua, PA.

Phyllis A. Stabingas, 69, of Schuylkill Haven, passed Sunday, January 6, 2019 at her residence in Schuylkill Haven PA.

Born in Pottsville, November 19, 1949, she was the daughter of Eva (Larish) Sleva of Orwigsburg and the late John Sleva.

Phyllis was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven. She enjoyed reading, shopping with her friends, and spending time at Bethany Beach.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Todd, and husband, Robert Stabingas.

Surviving in addition to her mother are an Aunt, Kay Larish of Orwigsburg, 4 sisters-in-law: Sandra Gutowski, Marian Herb, Doris and Denise Stabingas, a brother-in-law, William Herb, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Saturday, January 12, 2019 from St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 201 Randel St. Schuylkill Haven 17972. The Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church
Memorial Fund. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
