Winter Storm Warning Downgraded to Advisory


The Winter Storm Warning that was issued for this weekend has been cancelled and downgraded to an advisory.

According to the National Weather Service:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST SUNDAY...
WINTER STORM WARNING IS CANCELLED... 

 * WHAT...Mixed precipitation. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches, with with areas of sleet and freezing rain. Ice accumulations of a tenth of an inch or less expected. 

 * WHERE...Lower Susquehanna Valley. 

 * WHEN...Snow will develop later this afternoon and early evening, changing to a wintry mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and even rain. The advisory is in effect through 1PM Sunday.

 * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.

This advisory includes the counties of
Franklin-Perry-Dauphin-Schuylkill-Lebanon-Cumberland-Adams-York- Lancaster
Including the cities of Chambersburg, Newport, Harrisburg, Hershey, Pottsville, Lebanon, Carlisle, Gettysburg, York, and Lancaster
