Nancy J Buffington, age 85, of Valley View, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at her residence surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on Monday, July 24, 1933, in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Paul Long and the late Florence Lupold.

Nancy was a floor lady in area garment factories prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.

She was also a member of Ashland Chapter #154 Order of Eastern Star.

Nancy enjoyed going to Traci's Place for breakfast and to the Crossroads Auction on Friday nights.

Her husband, Robert J Buffington, passed away in 1999.

She is survived by a son, Barry Buffington and his wife Cindy of Bridgeport, WV; a daughter, Trudy Charles and her husband Jerry of Halifax, a granddaughter, Jami Charles of Halifax; three grandsons, Robert Buffington of Bridgeport, WV, Jace Charles of Wichita, KS, and Matthew Buffington of Bridgeport, WV; and great grandchildren Sydnie, Avery, Addyson, Tyler, Carson, Taegan, and Conner.

Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Michael C Klahr officiating.

A viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be made in Union Cemetery, Gratz.

Regina Pepper Reiley, 84, formerly of Marco Island, FL and Ambler, PA, died Tuesday at the Willow Valley Communities, Lancaster.

Born April 30, 1934 in Ashland, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Pepper.

She was a graduate of Immaculata College and Gwynned Mercy University.

Regina is survived by her amazing husband of 62 years, J. Daniel Reiley. In addition to Dan, Regina is survived by her wonderful sister, Kay Pepper of Chalfont, PA; and her three fantastic brothers: George Pepper of Bloomsburg, PA; Jim Pepper of Bedford, NH and Ted Pepper of St. Louis, MO. Regina’s much loved brother Jack Pepper passed away previously. Regina treasured her children and their families: daughter Ann Behrens and her husband Bill of Annapolis, MD; daughter Kathleen Curry and her husband Al of Exmore, VA; son Dan Reiley and his wife Ana of Burbank, CA; and daughter Maura Jennings and her husband John of Ambler, PA. Regina was always proud of her eight incredible grandchildren: Jack, Erin, John, Joe, Paul, Conor, James and Elizabeth.

Margaret 'Peg'Hunsinger, 94, of Ringtown, passed away Saturday, February 9th, 2019.

Peg was born in State College, on December 14, 1924, a daughter of the late Sarah and Roy Markle.

She was a member of the Ringtown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed traveling along with reading and collecting cookbooks and cow figurines.

Peg was preceded in death by her husband Weller Hunsinger in 1992 and by a brother Roy Markle and a grandson Chris Christmann.

She is survived by her son Scott Hunsinger and his wife Beth, of Forest Hill, Maryland and by her daughter Gail, wife of Eugene Christmann , of Newark, Delaware.

She is also survived by grandchildren Jamie Christmann; Blythe, wife of Jason Heisey; Brent and his wife Beth Hunsinger and by great grandchildren, Jackson; Blayne; Alex and Clayton.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside memorial service at the Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Aristes on Saturday, April 6th at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ringtown Area Library would be greatly appreciated.

Dorothy J. Barry, 88, of Donaldson, passed away Tuesday at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center - East, Pottsville.

Born in Donaldson, November 5, 1930, a daughter of the late Henry and Mabel Deiter Barry.

Dorothy was a graduate of the former Frailey Twp. High School.

She retired after 40 years of service with the Hershey Food Company.

She was a member of the Donaldson United Methodist Church and the Donaldson Fire Company Auxiliary.

Dorothy's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was affectionately known as Aunt Dorothy to everyone.

Dorothy was "The Last of the Mohicans" of the Barry family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 12 siblings, Irene Landis, Margaret Ney, Catherine Reed, Helen F. Barry, Elmer, John, Clyde, Charles, Guy, Allen, Arthur and Robert Barry.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, February 16th at 11:00 am from the Donaldson United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Ira Lydic. Private burial will be in the Donaldson Community Cemetery. Dorothy was very patriotic and loved her country. She was extremely proud of her brothers who served in the armed forces, so memorial donations in her memory should be made to the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust, P.O.
