Robert J. Bubel, 79 years of age passed away peacefully on Saturday February 16, 2019 at home while in the care of his family.

A lifelong resident of Brockton Robert was predeceased by his wife of fifty-two years Mary Elizabeth (Curry) Bubel on October 9, 2014. Survived by his son Peter J. and his companion Stephanie Burns of Reading; his beloved, granddaughters, Nina and Alyssa.

Born in Brockton the son of the late Peter, and Elizabeth (Piller) Bubel, he was also predeceased by his sister, Regina Bowers. He is also survived by brothers- in- law, sister- in- law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and honorary family members he kept close in his heart.

A graduate of Blythe Township High School, Bob served honorably in the United States Army. He retired from Dana Corporation, Reading, Pa., and was a member of Holy Cross R.C.C. of New Philadelphia.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 23, 2019 at 11 o'clock A.M. from Holy Cross R.C.C. 99 Valley Street New Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 17959, Rev. Ronald I. Minner to celebrate. Friends may call in church from 9:30 A.M. until time of worship.

Interment with Military Honors St. Bartholomew's R.C.C. Cemetery, Brockton, Pennsylvania.

Steven S Schwalm, age 69, of Camp Hill, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at The Gardens of West Shore, Camp Hill.

He was born on Monday, October 24, 1949, in Mechanicsburg, a son of Hugh S Schwalm of Middletown and the late Emily J Klouser Schwalm.

He was a 1967 Central Dauphin High School.

He is survived by a daughter, Denice Gipe of Marysville; a sister Cynthia L Wagner of Harrisburg; a neice, Melissa M Dawson of Lewisberry; and a nephew, Nicholas S Wagner of Harrisburg.

Services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Monday, February 25, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev.Keith Blank officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.

Richard A. Pugh, 65, of Pottsville, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 16, 2019, in Cressona.

Born February 16, 1954 in Pottsville he was the son of the late William and Mary Gottschall Pugh.

He was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School and attained an associate degree from McCann School Of Business. He was also a member of Roedersville Game & fish, Pottsville AMVETS, and DeerLake & West Brunswick Fire Co.

Richard was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Adam and brother Jack Pugh.

Richard is survived by his son, Richard J. Pugh, Bethlehem; daughters, Jennifer Pugh Becker, Seltzer; Christy Moser, Pottsville; Carrie Pugh, Newark, Del.; and six grandchildren, Kaylee, Kole, Olivia, Ashley, Oscar, and Lila. He is also survived by a brother, William Pugh, Pottsville; four sisters, Dorris Prozzlio, Warrington, PA; Caroline Vinskie, Pottsville; Hildagarde Maley, St. Clair; Victoria Pinder, Sinking Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30AM on Friday, February 22, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Church, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Rev. David Loeper officiating. Family and friends may call 6PM until 8PM on Thursday and Friday 9AM until 10AM at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contribution be made in Richard’s name to BDSRA Batten Disease 2780 Airport Drive, Suite 342, Columbus, OH 43219.
