Loreen M. Garrity, age 60, of Schoentown, PA passed away Saturday, March 30th, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA.

Born in Pottsville, PA on September 4, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Millard E. and Loretta (Popnick) Grubbs.

Loreen was a graduate of Saint Clair High School, Class of 1977. She was active in the US Army as a SP4 from May 1983 till July 1984 and then served in the reserves. Loreen work as a supervisor for the Schoeneman's Corpation for more then 15 years.

Loreen was a member of the former St. Casimir's Church in St. Clair, the St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair, an the AMVETS in Pottsville. Loreen loved doing crafts, cooking, animals, going fishing, and shopping in New York City.

Loreen is survived by her husband of 15 years, Shawn M. Garrity, Schoentown; sisters: Romona Dietz and her husband Rick, Schuylkill Haven and Renelyn Schroeder and her husband Mark, Maryland; brothers: Tae Grubbs, California and Rudy Grubbs and his fiance' Ruby, Pottsville; her aunt Leona Barto, Schoentown; nieces and nephews: Janine and Tobi Garrity, Jessica Warner, Brandy, Sydney, Rudy, and Diane Grubbs and Joanna Nguyen, great-nieces and great-nephews: Logan and Liam Garrity, Pierce Warner, Jade and Jewel Warner and Olivia Nguyen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair at 10AM on Thursday, April 4th, with Msgn William Glosser officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday morning from 8-10AM at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church.

Interment with Military Honors will be held in the St. Casimir's Cemetery in Port Carbon.

Charles E. “Chuck” Bobinis, III64 of Pittsburgh, died peacefully at home, December 3, 2018. He was born Oct 7, 1954 in Pottsville.

He was a 1972 graduate of Pottsville Area High School, a graduate of Lafayette College where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. In 1979, he earned his Law Degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

During his college year Chuck worked at Yuengling Brewery.

He was hired by the Bernstein Law Firm where he was employed for 31 years with an expertise in bankruptcy and commercial law. In 2011, he became a sole practitioner, licensed in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio and earned the recognition as a Super Lawyer in PA.

Chuck was an active member of St. Anne Parish, Castle Shannon and served as an usher and Men’s Club volunteer. He was a historian and a member of the Mt. Lebanon Sportsman Club as he enjoyed the outdoors as an avid hunter. More than his career and other pursuits, he valued his family and loved them above all else.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 44 years of Debbie Bergan Bobinis; 2 loving daughters, Jessica Stoll and her husband Matthias Stoll, Germany; Andrea Bobinis and her boyfriend Jake Abbondanza, Pittsburgh; 2 grandchildren, Ella and Henry Stoll. 2 sisters, Beth Moyer and her husband Dennis, and Geraldine Bobinis; Brother-in-law, Bill Bergan and his wife Beverly.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11AM from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. There will be no visitation prior to mass. Interment will follow mass at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville. Local Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Kenneth R. Erdman, age 86, of Valley View, passed away peacefully late Saturday night surrounded by his family at Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, PA.

He was born on July 17, 1932 in Ashland, PA, a son of the late William and Mabel Wolfgang Erdman.

Ken was a graduate of Hegins Township High School-Class of 1950.

In high school, Ken was the starting catcher on the baseball team. The team went 55-2 over the course of 3 seasons. Kenny never bragged about his abilities as a catcher, but often mentioned the speed and strength of the pitchers he caught for. Never leaving the house without a Phillies cap on, his love for baseball never faded.

Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.

He and his wife, the former Doris M. Bixler had celebrated 62 years of marriage, until her passing in September 2015.

He spent many years working in the coal mines as working at Penn Dye in Pine Grove and TRW in Harrisburg.

Ken was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins.

In addition to his parents and wife Doris, he was preceded in death by brothers Clair, Eugene, Guy, Jay, Leo, and Ray; sisters Helen Reinoehl, and Tillie Rockwell.

Ken is survived by son, Jimmy R. Erdman and wife Rose, Tower City; daughter, Dianne E. Strite and husband Tom, Reston, VA; grandson, Andrew J. Strite and wife Abby, TX; granddaughter, Amanda K. Strite, MD; 2 great grandchildren, Dominick and Teagan Strite; sister, Lila Derck, Dalmatia, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at St. John's United Methodist Church in Hegins, on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Rev. W. Keith Rockwell officiating. A catered lunch will follow.

A viewing will be held 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the Church.

Burial will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville PA 17003.

Memorial contributions can be made to the church.

Dorothy A. Ziegenfuss, 68 years of age of Coaldale, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.

Born Wednesday, November 22, 1950 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Nicholas, and Dorothy (Snyder) Digilio. She was also predeceased by; husband, Ray A. Ziegenfuss, Sr.; son, Michael C. Ziegenfuss; brothers, Charles, Samuel, William, Nicholas, and Joseph Digilio.

Surviving are sons, Ray Allen Ziegenfuss, Jr. and his companion Jean Metz of Ashland, Frederick James "Fred" Ziegenfuss of Coaldale, Nicholas Charles Ziegenfuss of Coaldale; brother, Michael A. Digilio and his wife Gloria of Nesquehoning; sisters, Jenny Maradeo of Nesquehoning, Mary Theresa Breiner of Lansford; 7 grand children; 3 great grand children.

Dorothy was devoted to the care of her children.
