Jean Z. Sleva, 85, Frackville, passed away peacefully Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill East, Pottsville, with her family by her side.

Born in Frackville she was a daughter of the late George G. and Zelma Brosius Shuey.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frackville and the Frackville Area Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dominic S. in 2003 and also by her grandson Daniel Sleva Jr. and her sister Doris Kostishak.

Jean is survived by her son Daniel and his wife Patricia Sleva, Morea, her daughter Dorice A. wife of Kevin Derr, Frackville, her grandchildren; Allishia Sleva and her fiancé Brian McCue, Kayla Derr and her companion Craig Demko and Shelby Derr, her two sisters; Carol wife of Joseph Grabuskie, Pocono Lake and Janet Dean, Frackville also by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with her pastor, Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Ida Mae Lutz Blankenhorn, 78, of Reedsville, Wayne Township, passed away Sunday, April 28th, at home surrounded by loving family.
Born in Wayne Township on January 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Marian (Reed) Lutz.
She married her devoted husband, Wayne H. Blankenhorn on May 26, 1962, and spent 56 years building a family together.
Ida was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1958. She served as class treasurer for numerous class reunions.
She was formerly employed as an administrative secretary for the Schuylkill County Courthouse and the Penn State Agricultural Extension Office.
Ida was a lifelong member of Reedsville Bethesda Evangelical Congregational Church, where she was a former member of the choir.
She was also a member of the Cressona Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, having served as past Worthy Matron from 1976 to 1977.
Ida's greatest joys were found with her family. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and baking for those she loved. Ida also enjoyed reading, travelling, and cheering on her favorite sports teams, especially those that included her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Carrie Hepler, and brothers, Elmer, and Paul Lutz.
Ida is survived by two daughters, Denise Blankenhorn wife of David Albertini, Cressona, and Melinda Davidson and her husband, Mark, Spring Hill, TN, grandchildren: Julie Drummer and husband, Kyle, Hayes, VA, Aaron, and Zara Albertini, Cressona, Kai, and Olivia Davidson, TN, and two great-grandchildren: Ella Mae and Freya Drummer, as well as a sister, Esther Heisler, Gilbertsville, PA, and a brother, Lewis Lutz, Wayne Township.
A viewing will be held Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Bethesda Evangelical Congregational Church of Reedsville.
A Religious Service will be conducted at Bethesda Evangelical Congregational Church of Reedsville at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4th, with Rev. Mark Brooks officiating. Additional time for viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
Interment will follow immediately at Reedsville Cemetery.
At the family's request memorial donations in Ida's memory may be forwarded to Bethesda EC Church Memorial Fund 155 Reedsville Road, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

John M. Wessner, 75, passed away, Monday, April 29th after a brief illness.

Born in Freeling, Australia, June 19, 1943, a son of the late John and Beryl Cawrse Wessner.

John was a graduate of Porter Tower High School. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.

John retired after 33 years of service with Commonwealth Telephone Company. Following retirement he helped his son at Wessner's Taxidermy.

John was a member of Sunnyside Hunting Club, Oriwn Gun Club and the Orwin Fire Company.

He was an avid outdoorsman, who lived to hunt and fish.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Eileen Reiner Wessner, January 31, 2018

Surviving are his three children, Jonna Hoke (Dave), Orwin; Julie Ullman, Maryland and Dennis Wessner (Cindy), Orwin; one sister, Jeanne Karpaitis (Francis), Florida; grandchildren he was very proud of, Ryan, Lauren and Cory Ullman, Emily and Erica Wessner, Kylie Baker and Kortlynd Hoke; two great grandchildren, Maxon and Kalder Baker.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name should be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, Helping Hands Fund, 101 E. Wiconisco Street, Muir PA 17957. Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., has been entrusted with the arrangements.
