Schuylkill County Brew Fest to Draw Beer Lovers to Pottsville on Saturday

Saturday will be your chance to try all your favorite local breweries all in one place!

On Saturday, May 18, 2019, the 5th Annual Schuylkill County Brew Fest will take place in Pottsville.

The event, which is organized by Puff's Promotions and Cousin Dave Entertainment in conjunction with the Continued Progress Project of Pottsville, will give beer lovers the chance to try beers from 30 different breweries.

After 4 years of holding the event in Frackville, this year the event has moved to Pottsville and will take place on Centre Street between Market and Laurel Streets.

"This is a great way for people to come out, taste beers, that they never had before and maybe open their mind a little more about what their drinking." said Dave Cantwell, owner of Cousin Dave Entertainment.

"Most people stick to their Coors Light, Miller Light when their are these small independent breweries that you can drive to and spend a day, and try some new things" added Cantwell.

Attendees will get the chance to try almost 100 different beers from 30 local, regional, and nationals breweries which include

Food and other local vendors will also be at the event.

Those interested in attending can buy tickets early through www.puffpromotions.com for $40.  Tickets will be $45 the day of the event and Designated Drivers will pay $10.

Attendees will also receive a specially designed beer glass to the event that was designed by Cory Mcgheehan of Tamaqua.

For the 2nd year, the Skook Series Championship will return.  Brewers that attend the event will compete by bringing a unique beer to the event that the attendees will vote on.  The winner will get to take home the travelling "Skook Series Championship" belt.

Brew Fest runs Saturday, from 2:00pm until 5:30pm.  Those who purchased a VIP ticket will be allowed to enter the event at 1:00pm.
