Joseph J. Pahira, 64, of Wayne Township, passed away Friday, May 10th, at Circle M Campground, Lancaster.

Born in Pottsville on May 29, 1954, he was a son of the late George & Dorothy (Awarski) Pahira.

He was the husband of Carolyn E. (Ploskon) Pahira.

Joe was a graduate of Minersville High School, Class of 1972.

He retired from Riverview Bank.

Joe was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

As a very active member of the community; he was involved in many local organizations.

In addition to his wife, Joe is also survived by sons: Joseph M. Pahira, Mechanicsburg, & his sons, Galen Finn, &. Jace Pahira, and Andrew Pahira, husband of Emily, Seneca Falls, NY, and a sister, Monica Pahira, Minersville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16th, with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating.

A visitation will be held at the church from 9 to 10:45 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment will be privately held at St. Ambrose Cemetery, Cressona, at the family's convenience.

Audrey Elaine Kienzle, 84, passed away Thursday, May 9th, at Providence Place Retirement Community, Pottsville, where she had been a resident.

Born in Pottsville on September 23, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Earl & Nina (Hopple) Schoffstall.

She was the widow of Richard Charles Kienzle, Sr., who passed away in 1995.

In addition to her parents and husband, Audrey is also preceded in death by her son, Richard Charles Kienzle, Jr., sisters: Alma, Clara, Katie, & Nina, and brothers: Clarence, & Charles.

She was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1953.

Audrey was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

She is survived by three daughters, Audrey Bayliff & husband, James, Schuylkill Haven, Joyce Cantu, widow of Jose, Houston, TX, and Helen Balonis & husband, Edward, Pottsvilledaughter-in-law, Donna Kienzle, Hawaii, grandchildren: John Martin, Nicole Crogan, Richard Charles Kienzle, III, Christopher, & Brittany Balonis, a brother, Ronald Schaeffer, St. Clair, several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.

On Tuesday, May 14th, a viewing will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, from 6 - 8 p.m.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 15th at the church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15th.An additional time for viewing will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.

Interment services will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA, at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 16th.

At the family's request, donations in Audrey's memory may be forwarded to Trinity Lutheran Church'sElevator Fund, 300 West Arch Street, Pottsville, PA 17901. Checks should be made payable to Trinity Lutheran Church, and "Elevator" should be placed in the memo line of the check.

Margaret Lucinda (Ganly) O'Brien,90, Flushing NY, formerly of Branchdale, died Wednesday with her loving son Edward at her side.

Born February 4, 1929 in Branchdale, she was the daughter of the late Daniel A. and Lucinda Margaret (Gottschall) Ganly.

She was an avid NY Yankee's fan and a member of the Ladies' Ancient Order of Hibernians.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward E. O'Brien, Sr. and a daughter Ginny Bishop.

Margaret is survived by her son Edward E. O'Brien Jr., Flushing NY; granddaughter Amanda; brother Joseph Ganly, Tremont; sister Theresa Gleason, Primrose; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Monday May 13 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 9AM to 11AM at the church. Interment will be held on the grounds of Our Lady Star of the Sea Cemetery, Branchdale. The family would prefer contributions be made in Margaret's name to St. Jude's Hospital.

Katherine “Kitty” Elizabeth Owens DiCello, R.N., 84, of Pottsville, closed her beautiful blue eyes for the last time on this earth on the morning of May 11, 2019, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born in Wilburton #2, Pennsylvania, Jan. 15, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Agnes (Haffey) Owens. A Centralia native, Kitty attended St. Ignatius School and Church and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Ashland. She graduated from the Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing in 1955 and worked as a Registered Nurse in both Pottsville and Philadelphia.

As a young girl, she was known as ‘the little girl with the big voice’, sharing her powerful singing voice at school, church, community events, and on the radio. Kitty continued to share her musical gifts with others throughout her life, serving as organist and choir director for 30 years at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald and Francis Owens.

Kitty is survived by her five children, Carmen and his wife, Marilyn DiCello, Michael DiCello, Krina and her husband, Francis Amspacher, Mark and his wife, Kristen DiCello, and Mary Agnes DiCello; five grandchildren, Luke and his wife, Bridy DiCello, Jacob DiCello, Sydney Amspacher, Kaeleigh DiCello, and Mackenzie DiCello; her sister, Rita and her husband, James Williams; her sister-in-law, Shannon and her husband, Clay Ziegler; two nephews, Ethan and his wife, Beth Owens, and their children Madeline and Ryan, and Jeffrey Williams, and his fiancé Julie Hartman.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30AM from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 9-10:30 am Wednesday at the church. The family would prefer remembrances in the form contributions be made to The Joseph McCloskey School of Nursing 420 S. Jackson St. Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pottsville. Arrangements are under the care of James B. Humphrey, F.D., James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.
