Anna H. Fickinger, 81, of Ashland had an appointment with the Lord Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Ashland July 28,1937 the daughter of the late George S. and Mary (Mekosh) Kripplebauer. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church,Ashland. Graduated from Ashland High School Class of 1955; Served on the Board of Elections in Ashland's 3rd Ward for many years and enjoyed bingo and was proud of her athletic abilities playing basketball, volley ball and softball.

Preceding her in death was her husband John "Jack" Fickinger in 2008.
A grandson Glenn F. Barwicki also preceded her in death in 1992 and a sister:
Mary Stepanchick in 2009.

Surviving are three sons & three daughters: Lona wife of Kenneth Schreffler,
Lavelle; Susan wife of Ron Mattes, North Carolina; Ann wife of Glenn Barwicki, Kulpmont,PA; David husband of Cindy, Ashland; Kirk husband of Louann, Ashland; and Carl Fickinger of Ashland. Sister: Mary Frances Nowroski wife of Thomas, Atlas, PA. Seventeen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nieces and nephews survive.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 18th, with Rev. Paul Rothermel officiating. Interment at St. Mauritius Cemetery, Ashland, PA. Viewing Friday 6:00-8:00 P.M. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc.,901 Center St., Ashland and Saturday 9:30-10:45 A.M. from St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1116 Walnut Street, Ashland. June Troy, 88, of Kulpmont, PA passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at her home.
Born August 10, 1930 in Ashland, PA the daughter of the late Malcolm and Rose (Mills) Green.
June graduated from Ashland High School Class of 1948.

Surviving are a brother: Bill Green of Ashland, PA. Niece: Stephanie Cook of Riverside, CA.
Interment and graveside services will be held at Christ Church Cemetery, Ft. Springs at the convenience of the family.

Sarah Shustack, 61, of Shenandoah, Pa passed away on Tuesday, May 14th at Penn State Health, St. Joseph's Medical Center, Reading, Pa. Born on February 5th, 1958 in Turkey Run, Pa to the late John and Mae "Clifford" Shustack.

Sarah was a 1976 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School, she then worked for IWCO and various other manufacturing companies. She enjoyed to crochet, do puzzles, and loved to garden.

Besides her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, David Johns in 2015 and 1 sister, Margaret Link

Her surviving family include, 2 sons, Bryan Shustack (Judith) - Frackville and Michael Johns - Frackville, 1 step-son, David Johns - St. Clair, 2 daughters, Melissa Shustack (Chris) - Temple, Pa and Jennell Johns - West Chester, Pa, 3 brothers, Charles Shustack (Anna) - Cape May, NJ, Joseph Shustack (Barb) - Turkey Run, and John Shustack (Patti) - Mt. Carmel, 1 sister, Bernadine Miller (Butch) - Boston Run, 4 grandchildren, Alison Weikel, Kyla Shustack, Noah Shustack, and Deacon Johns. Nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Scripture Services will be conducted on Sunday, May 19th at 5:45pm at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah with Pastor Jack Murray officiating. Visitation for family and friends will take place Sunday afternoon from 3pm to 5:45pm at the funeral home.

Elizabeth J. Miller, 87, of Woodside, N.Y passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at her home.
Born in New York City on September 12, 1931 the daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Rae) Haxton. 

Elizabeth was raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. She graduated from High School in Portobella, Scotland. She last worked as a book keeper for the NY Mets before retiring. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years: Ray "Danny" Miller, 2003. Two sisters: Janette Graham and Mabel Groat. Niece: Terry (Wilinsky) Cerino. 

Surviving are a sister-in-law: Beverly wife of William Fahs of Bethlehem, PA. Nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services will be held from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery, Ft. Springs, PA. Viewing Thursday, May 16 at 12:00 Noon until the time of service at Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc., Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.
